@Nolan-L-from-Milorad on mini maraca cracker
I’ve done it!
I’ve been wanting to make a decently high power output stereo amplifier for a while now and when I was looking for ICs to use I found the LM1875 a tiny 30 watt amplifier IC in a tiny 5 pin TO-220 package the main black body is a mere 10 mm * 8 mm big so I took the time to build two of them into a stereo amplifier and blew up some earbuds on the way (LOL) and rocked the entire house. The heatsink on the back does get pretty warm at higher volumes if you use it for a while though keeps under 60 degrees celsius so well within the LM1875 max tempreture (of 150 degrees celsius sustained)
The internals are built onto a prototype board and housed in a 3D printed enclosure The big aluminium heatsink out the back of the maraca cracker 2,000 (name courtesy of DankPods) was salvaged from and old power supply.
“this thing is hillarious if you hook it up to a tiny speaker”
- 7 devlogs
- 18h build
I’m really happy to see this project come together as well as it has
I did a majour boo-boo where I moddeled the case as if the amp was 15mm wider
