Simple Up Front Controls
I made this as a first step towards a somewhat full flight sim setup and because I still had this 4x4 macro pad lying around, unused — I decided to make something out of it.
It in terms of looks and mapping is inspired by the UFC of a plane in vtolvr, one of my favourite games. And currently the software can only print what button is pressed into a serial monitor but making it work with usb will be no problem I just need to figure out what to assign the buttons to…
So there it is a simple macro pad for you to maybe build on in a design which may be familiar to some people.
(and yes I do not have grey filament >.> so purple it is)

Wow longest session of now. But I finished
Things I have done today:
- offset of certain buttons
- the faces of the buttons
- and assembly tweaks
Now you can use two filaments for the buttons but they are currently still printing so I will have to wait to see how it turns out.
I can now write a program and some documentation on github and ship. Hopefully in the next like 10 hours.

Wow almost finished with the important things. Latches are almost done and rough buttons have also been made. Now only the writing on the buttons and the higher offset of the master caution, alt mode and clear waypoint button is missing. Hopefully I have enough time tomorrow because I still kind of need a program but that should not be too difficult.

So the first thing I want to do for eventually a full hotas and flight sim setup is a simple and kind of out of scale up front controls unit. Inspired by the one in vtol vr I obviously have a long way to go. Of course using my current button matrix I wont be able to archive 100% accuracy but I don’t need to. I will also only include the buttons I can fit into my 4x4 matrix. So none of the shenanigans on the left and right.
