So…. I spent 3 hours almost allowing users to view an entire diary entry and add images and everything and then I accidentally deleted all. my. progress. anways… I thought it was still worth a shot to submit a half-completed first version where u can still create diaries and see how u could add text. I’ll need a few days to recover.

Today I finally found the time to work on the draggable widgets functionality, something I have never explored yet, and it was a veryyy fun process. I relied on an article I found on Medium that used the Positioned widget to make draggable stuff by constantly updating x and y coordinates. Then I had fun exploring some cool flutter packages that could maintain my app’s UI. Overall i’m soo happy with the progress and I can’t wait to add images, videos and audio recordings.

Diaries can now be created! This is the first step before I step into chaos: figuring out the Ui for each diary page. Really loved the new flutter packages I tried and the overall look for v1.

I got this idea about a month ago. With so much ai slop being thrown around, I feel like we can still digitally preserve intimate human connection, such as writing personal diaries. In this project, you will be able to open an ebook, and every page you scroll it’s a diary entry from a new person, who wrote it somewhere. Today I coded the welcome page (which will later be animated) and initialized supabase.
