😭 😭 😭 POV: you decide to make all on a perfboard because 1. 3 ESP32 are dead 2. two versions of your custom PCB don’t work 3. you become crazy … then you decide to make all on a perfboard 1. you start doing it 2. you solder for a week and then … you finish … but one encoder doesn’t want to work you try to fix it but then nothing works on bus 0 T_T this becomes very very frustrating 😭 https://youtube.com/shorts/Bv5i3sjUlMk?si=PIeCnRF1LWGG5C7_

Again unsoldering everithing from the PCB 😭because the ESP32 doens’t want to boot so i decided to let go these 💩PCB’s and make all on a perf board…i hope it will work🙏

Ok ok so finished the body and put it to print…i also changed the robot name from QuadCat to Overbot because it doesn’t look like a cat anymore and it’s kinda over scoped this project so that’s why Overbot :D

The odd frame is almost done but now i have to go so i will finish later

So i’m at a place where i don’t have a 3D printer but i have a laptop so i was making the components that i have in the physical life into fusion 360 that i can see more how to make the shell and i also decided to make just a odd frame for now and then make the beatuiful stuff…i didn’t have time to make the frame T-T so i will finish it tomorrow

Hi after a long time :D anyway the ESP32 that i destroy due to a stupid mistake a new has finally arrived so i started soldering all permanently…hope it’s not a mistake T_T and will finish tomorrow because now i’m kinda tired and i start making stupid mistakes 😅

fixed the body and sending to the printer to print it again and i will enjoy two hours changing the filament for color T_T i don’t have the AMS lite thingy XD

finished the body now printing and let’s hope it works :D

The new PCB arrived so i was soldering for 2hrs then started making the motors work and after 2hrs i finally managed to make work one then after 1hr i found out that in1 was swapped with EN in the code so that’s why it wasn’t working then made work the servos which worked immediately then made run motors and servos at the same time which worked so wonderful! then started finishing the body-shell which i will finish tomorrow and send to the printer and then i will assemble all and solder all permanently :D hyped for tomorrow

I made a completely new design(why? check out previous posts)…it’s kinda a box which is not what i wanted but it looks good even not finished :D Btw reminds me of a star-wars robot it wasn’t intentional…still waiting for the new PCB fingers crossed that it arrives before the end of Stardance

So i’m still making the body and still thinking of how to put the laser sensor at the front that it doesn’t look odd…if you have any ideas then please feel free to tell me in comments :D (this design at the base wasn’t thought that there will be a laser sensor)

Thinking about how to implement the laser sensors into the body-shell design that it isn’t odd and fixing some stuff in Fusion. I also made a small wooden table next to my desk that i can have more place for my projects. Still waiting for the v2.0 PCB and idk if i will have time to finish this robot before the end of stardance but at least i think i will have a working PCB which is the main thing of the robot

Ok this is funny…i’ve been trying to make work my motors with the custom PCB for 3days and now i found out that the motor i was testing was using the encoder of the other motor that i wasn’t using so yeah pretty stupid lol…and look at the video what i can do with it, i can make spin the other motor by turning one by hand. Anyway i did manage to make work one motor perfectly but the other one is another story and now the battery is dead so i’m charging 😭

Ok so i finished soldering the stuff on the PCB…i basically was soldering and soldering and soldering…for 3hrs almost 4…ehm anyway now i will code the thing and then let’s see if the PCB works…ah you’re lucky i forgot to post this so you will know if the PCB works…and like yes it works but i have to fix some little problems :)
