I’ve created the initial and most basic implementation of InstroSoft allowing the user to drag and drop sound files onto pads and play them using their mouse. I have decided to use PyQt6 as I wanted to learn another Python GUI tool and this seems to be the most in depth as well as being the best for dragging and dropping files. InstroSoft is designed to interface with InstroPad(1) and will be the primary software to make music with it, however, I want to make it a standalone piece of software too allowing anyone to control it with nothing but a mouse and a numpad. I’m excited to keep going!
