Fetched animations from blender and sucessfully got them into godot!
This is day 10 somehow and for this devlog, I definiteily got a ton of progress. I stayed up until midnight trying to figure out how to get blender animations into Godot and I finally figured it out today morning.
The reason it took so long is because the materials were not exporting properly and there was also a lot of small suff I had to fix like getting rid of blender’s unnecessary default animations and also managing the size of the item. I had to make tee animation twice because it was corrupted by size and positioning in the first one. I also made this model like a year ago and not knowing where all the files were in my computer did not help 🤦
But at the end I guess I finally did it
There is still a lot left to do like
- Just making it look better in general
- figuring out why the head is always the same color as the environment
- adding character select (going to be a huge pain to add new characters)
- outline to make it look visually appealing
- idk blend the animations
- also make the running jump and falling animations
and also just follow while you’re here thanks
