this is my website that is very much under construction and silly looking! i hope to make it a bit more eventful than the typical website and have some fun stuff going on everywhere plus a dedicated fun sub-page (:

i made a personal website! honestly i dont have much else to say, i’ve written a ton across the devlogs, commit messages, and the README. however, i think this site is super cool albeit young, and i am open to all feedback (but if it’s stylistic i may deny it for no good reason :P)!! hope you enjoy your stay :D

EVERYTHING. it is… done?

well of course not! but this devlog includes a GAZILLION things i added, including but not limited to:

  • restructuring the entire site
  • reworking like half of the css
  • adding a lot of fun details like making the scrolling text stop on hover, polishing up the vocab word text, and actually implementing the ‘fallback’ image as green_static.gif!
  • oh also, the original planned layout is starting to emerge (see: the TVs)

i’m pretty tired from all this so feel free to check the rest out on your own - overall the site doesn’t have a lot but i’m proud of it at its current state and considering everything else i have going on right now

i’ve done a lot since the last stardance-visible change!

(note - due to me being stupid, i’ve spent about 30h so far on this project since initially adding it to stardance in the summer - but 2/3 is gone now </3)

here is a kind of ugly hodge podge of the changes i’ve made in the past month or so:

  • website now has an embed from wikipedia of the current status of the NPVIC in the united states! i also reorganized the images used and sorted them into subfolders for my convenience.
i still dont have an official demo page (coming up next) and i need to figure out the automation of ts - js - prod without the whole exports {} statement breaking the js. it also currently displays weird on my pc but laptop is fine. this will happen bc the impl is inherently finnicky bc the web sucks and i cant just f—ing request the data from wikipedia. so it’ll have to do for now.

  • I made the site accessible via Codeberg Pages! The site is listed in the project description and in the readme (: next i hope to LOCK IN and fix the js - ts compile error thingy and actually start revamping the website layout :)

  • who knew you could just add type="module" to the script tag housing index.js and suddenly the exports not allowed error vanishes?!!?!? these changes also mostly simplify the code in index.html - unless explicitly exported, it’s easier to grab the element via document.getElementBy*() and do work directly in index.ts! most notably, i also cleaned up the vocab word element - it’s now unselectable (nicer when spam-cycling the words) and index.ts automatically removes descriptions/details from the words
