A compact, open-source bipedal robot designed from the ground up for balance, waddling, and future AI integration. Built around a Raspberry Pi and a custom 3D-printed chassis, Pebble serves as a modular robotics platform for experimenting with walking control, embedded systems, computer vision, and intelligent behavior.

Hey stardance family

I think I realized a little too late that Pebble is a full fledged project that will DEFINITELY not be completed within the deadline for stardance, so I’m debating whether or not to keep it private or put it on forge or another ysws.

I had to find another battery and charger to drive the servos,so hopefully I’ll be able to prototype soon! I’m still mocking up a simulator. IF anyone has recs for sims, lmk!

SUP KIDS I highkey didn’t do much today and not sure if I’ve lost my sticky streak or not sadge

I did a little work on pebble, made hit connection so they aren’t just floating in space, added lower legs, but I still can’t decide on an ankle mechanism, especially because it’s a passive ankle… Any ideas welcome!

Come to think of it, pebble seems like a crab… wide ahh

Hi kids :)

Messed around with some hardware recently, and tested out the resistance of the servos. The #8-32 bolts fit in the servo holes, and hold it pretty well!

Big issue though… I DONT HAVE NUTS FOR THE BOLTS qoq

So, I guess I need to steal some nuts from robotics. oh well c’: more fun things on the way!

Please ignore the image quality LMAO it was a screenshot of the lapse… and also the actual camera kinda sucks as well

Hello stardance children :)

I did a lot today! Got to figure things out for the hips and basic legs of Pebble. I gotta admit, it looks super cool. BUT, the challenge is, whether it will actually be sturdy or just crack as soon as I move the motors :( Speaking of which, I do still have to figure out the motor driver and learn how to balance this boy. Anyways, thanks for reading :)

Wsg gang ! Today, I worked on a basic sketch of pebble, kind of seeing how it would work. Also, some components came in today, so I’m gonna try to figure it out. Pretty proud of this mockup, so I hope to follow it closely :) If anyone has ideas on what to do with the head/face, lmk! I need ideas cuz I don’t want to directly copy NVIDIA’s Blue…

Today, I came up with a BOM and started putting together a parts list! I also realized I never updated my description… oops! Changed the project around just now to what the project actually is.

I also started a basic sketch of what I want pebble to look like, inspired by NVIDIA’s Blue at GTC 2025. I hope to order things tonight, and hopefully they arrive soon!
