Converter

Converter is a desktop app that converts images, audio, video, data, documents and 3D models 100% locally and offline, and is honest about quality: before converting, it tells you whether the conversion is lossless or lossy.
It took me quite a while to undestand how to make this app in full python but I finally managed to do it!
I am happy with he result i obtained: a nice ui, optimized files conversion, setup for windows and also Linux build.
The hardest part for me was honestly trying to make the app as light as possible, trying to reduce or eliminate some dependencies and more importantly the pdf to docx conversion wad the most challenging part of the whole project: so hard I had to add a small model to make it work!
But now, even if stardance has come to an end, don’t you worry guys, I will keep updating the app regularly, fixing bugs and adding features.

I made an all in one local file converter. It took me a lot of time to include as many types of file as possible and now I think I reached a good level of conversion. I started this project before signing up for Stardance that’s why you only see 4 hours, but it actually tokk me many more. I hope you enjoy this project and that it can be useful in your daily life.
