My fullstack blog site :)
Hey everyone, welcome back to another BLOG BATCH update!
This time I started working on the Blog page.
I added a proper blog section where users can browse blog posts and open them to read the full article.
Some code to make the blog post structure work, like:
const post = {
title: "Building My First Next.js Project",
category: "Development",
description: "What I learned while building my first project with Next.js.",
content: "...",
};
I also added a separate page for the actual blog post so it doesn’t just show everything on the main blog page.
There are still a lot of things I want to improve, but the basic blog page and first post are working now
Dev Vlog #1 — Started BLOG BATCH!
Hey everyone, welcome to the first BLOG BATCH update!
This time I started working on my own blogging platform, BLOG BATCH.
For now, I have mainly been working on the home page and getting the basic Next.js project structure set up.
I wanted the homepage to have a clean developer-focused design, with sections for the latest articles, featured content, and navigation.
Some basic code for the homepage looks like:
export default function Home() {
return (
<main className="min-h-screen bg-zinc-950 text-white">
<nav>
<Link href="/">
BLOG<span className="text-blue-500"> BATCH</span>
</Link>
</nav>
<section>
<h1>
Build.
<br />
Learn.
<br />
<span>Share.</span>
</h1>
<p>
A place for developers, makers, and curious minds
to learn, experiment, and share what they build.
</p>
</section>
</main>
);
}
The homepage is looking pretty good so far, but there is still a LOT left to build.
I haven’t finished the blog system, accounts, posting, editing, deleting, or all the other features yet.
For now, I’m just focusing on getting the foundation and design right before moving on to the bigger features.
It’s only the beginning, but BLOG BATCH is officially started! 😋🔥
bye….
