Dev Vlog #2 — Built the Blog Page!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another BLOG BATCH update!

This time I started working on the Blog page.

I added a proper blog section where users can browse blog posts and open them to read the full article.

Some code to make the blog post structure work, like:

const post = {
  title: "Building My First Next.js Project",
  category: "Development",
  description: "What I learned while building my first project with Next.js.",
  content: "...",
};

I also added a separate page for the actual blog post so it doesn’t just show everything on the main blog page.

There are still a lot of things I want to improve, but the basic blog page and first post are working now

Dev Vlog #1 — Started BLOG BATCH!

Hey everyone, welcome to the first BLOG BATCH update!

This time I started working on my own blogging platform, BLOG BATCH.

For now, I have mainly been working on the home page and getting the basic Next.js project structure set up.
I wanted the homepage to have a clean developer-focused design, with sections for the latest articles, featured content, and navigation.
Some basic code for the homepage looks like:

export default function Home() {
  return (
    <main className="min-h-screen bg-zinc-950 text-white">
      <nav>
        <Link href="/">
          BLOG<span className="text-blue-500"> BATCH</span>
        </Link>
      </nav>

      <section>
        <h1>
          Build.
          <br />
          Learn.
          <br />
          <span>Share.</span>
        </h1>

        <p>
          A place for developers, makers, and curious minds
          to learn, experiment, and share what they build.
        </p>
      </section>
    </main>
  );
}

The homepage is looking pretty good so far, but there is still a LOT left to build.
I haven’t finished the blog system, accounts, posting, editing, deleting, or all the other features yet.

For now, I’m just focusing on getting the foundation and design right before moving on to the bigger features.

It’s only the beginning, but BLOG BATCH is officially started! 😋🔥

bye….

Dev Vlog #10 — Added Minesweeper! 💣

Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!

This time I made another classic game, Minesweeper.

Some lines of code to make the mines and tile revealing work, like:

const revealCell = (row: number, col: number) => {
  if (board[row][col].isMine) {
    setGameStatus('lost');
    return;
  }

  const newBoard = board.map((r) => [...r]);
  newBoard[row][col].isRevealed = true;

  setBoard(newBoard);
};

The game now has tile movement, merging tiles, and adding new tiles after each move.

it was too hard to set the tile screen and mines & it still have bugs , but its good for now and i am gona a ship it 😋😋

Dev Vlog #9 — Added 2048 Game!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!

This time I made another popular game, 2048.

Some lines of code to make the tiles move and merge, like:

const moveRow = (row: number[]) => {
  const filtered = row.filter((value) => value !== 0);
  const result: number[] = [];

  for (let i = 0; i < filtered.length; i++) {
    if (filtered[i] === filtered[i + 1]) {
      result.push(filtered[i] * 2);
      i++;
    } else {
      result.push(filtered[i]);
    }
  }

  while (result.length < 4) {
    result.push(0);
  }

  return result;
};

I changed my mind at last to shift form minesweeper

It was pretty fun making 2048 and getting the tile movement and merging to work properly inside WebOS.

i will make minesweeper now!!!!!!

Dev Vlog #9 — Added Snake Game!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!

This time I made a game, quite a popular one, Snake Game.

Some lines of code to make its movement and food growth work, like:

currentWindows.map((appWindow) => {
  const game = appWindow.gameState?.snake;
  if (!game || game.status !== 'playing') return appWindow;

  const head = game.body[0];
  const direction = game.nextDirection;

  const nextHead = {
    x: (head.x + direction.x + SNAKE_SIZE) % SNAKE_SIZE,
    y: (head.y + direction.y + SNAKE_SIZE) % SNAKE_SIZE,
  };

  const hitSelf = game.body.some(
    (point) => point.x === nextHead.x && point.y === nextHead.y
  );

  if (hitSelf) {
    return {
      ...appWindow,
      gameState: {
        ...appWindow.gameState,
        snake: { ...game, status: 'lost' },
      },
    };
  }

It does not die when it hits the wall, but ends up on the other side of the screen. It dies when it hits itself.

OK then , its all for today if will make minesweeper next it may take AI to help , but i will try my best 🤧🤧

Dev Vlog #7 — Terminal is Finally Working!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!

This time I finished one of the apps I was most excited abt the : Terminal.

It can now run basic commands and works right inside the WebOS window system.

Current commands include:

  • help — Shows all available commands
  • clear — Clears the terminal
  • about — Gives a short description about the project XD
  • date — Shows the current date and time
  • apps — Shows all the available apps
  • files — Shows all available files stored
  • open notepad — Opens Notepad
  • open calculator — Opens Calculator
  • open files — Opens Files
  • open portfolio — Redirects website to my portfolio https://srinj-ai.github.io/MY-PORTFOLIO/ XD

Getting all of these commands working took a lot more logic than I expected, but it was definitely worth it.

Next, I’m planning to add more commands, improve the desktop, and keep making WebOS feel more like a real operating system.

thank u all and bye!!! XD

DevLog #2 — More Pages!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!

Today I worked on two new sections of the portfolio: the Projects section and the About section. The Projects page is where I’ll showcase everything I’ve built, and About section gives a quick introduction about who I am and what I do.

There’s still a lot I want to improve, but I’m happy with the progress.

New Features

  • Added the Projects section
  • Added the About section
  • Kept the same UI style across the new pages

I added a porject.js file to add and control all project and links at same time.

It still feels a bit empty, but the main structure is finally taking shape.

Next, I’ll be working on:

  • Adding a Skills section
  • Making the site fully responsive

That’s it for this devlog. See you in the next one!

DevLog #1 — The Beginning

Hey everyone, welcome to my first devlog for my portfolio!

I’ve wanted to make my own portfolio for a while, so I finally started working on it. It’s pretty simple right now.

The current design is based on a gradient text effect:

<span class="text-transparent bg-clip-text bg-gradient-to-r from-red-500 to-blue-400">
  TXJ
</span>

I also added a rounded container to give it a cleaner and more modern look. That’s pretty much all I’ve done for now, but I’ll be adding a lot more in the next devlogs.

New Features

  • Basic portfolio layout
  • Gradient text logo
  • Rounded UI design

The project is still in its early stages, but I’m happy with how it’s looks so far.

Next, I’ll be working on:

  • Adding more sections

That’s it for this devlog. Bye, see you in the next one!
