A Cherry MX-style 4 key macropad with a rotary encoder. It uses a seeeduino xiao RP 2040 and Runs KMK firmware. This was my first project and i couldn’t get Hackatime to work until the very end, so the time is messed up.

JLCPCB literally delivered the board the very next morning, so that was fun. I am sorry JLCPCB, get better tracking tho…
I finished up all of the soldering and put it in the case. Then when I tried to put KMK firmware on it, it had like 1 mb too little flash to hold it.
There is a way to get it down to a more manageable size for the RP 2040, but it involves decrying YML files and that exceeds my knowledge. If anyone knows about that kind of stuff, plz help…
First building devlog!!!
My case arrived, and I started to put things into it. I still don’t have my PCB (curse you JLCPCB…). it wont come until stardance is almost over, so i might not post another devlog.
Great work on Starpad - just a tip, but i would move the microcontroller closer to the edge so you can 100% get a cable in ! the hole is pretty big rn, but ifyou expose more you can make it smaller and fillet the corners - itll look way better !
Added some text to the exposed area of the pcb next to the encoder wheel and fixed a few bugs in the code
I finished the PCB layout, case, and firmware. I couldn’t get Hacatime to work before I started.
