Um, never mind.
JLCPCB literally delivered the board the very next morning, so that was fun. I am sorry JLCPCB, get better tracking tho…
I finished up all of the soldering and put it in the case. Then when I tried to put KMK firmware on it, it had like 1 mb too little flash to hold it.
There is a way to get it down to a more manageable size for the RP 2040, but it involves decrying YML files and that exceeds my knowledge. If anyone knows about that kind of stuff, plz help…

DEVLOG 1:
CalcAmAlatoR v1.0 is ready.
Currently, I have a few separate scripts with four different functions.
I am planning to realese at least 10, while also brushing up on the current ones
First building devlog!!!
My case arrived, and I started to put things into it. I still don’t have my PCB (curse you JLCPCB…). it wont come until stardance is almost over, so i might not post another devlog.
DEVLOG 7:
I finished up the DRC and my case design, and I’m pretty proud of it. It looks cool, works great (in theory), and is small enough to print on an A1 Mini. The large red piece is the button that goes through the hole at the top. It won’t be red in the final version. The smaller red pieces are SSD standoffs that limit how far down you can secure the SSD with a screw. There are three because I don’t know exactly how tall they need to be for the SSD to sit completely flat.
Okay, so I gave it a wallpaper (hey this looks familiar…), and I made the top bar from the tutorial, but in TRANSLUCENT RED!!! I broke my brain trying to get the time to work, and then I found out it was stupidly simple and I plugged in the variables wrong (I thought I was supposed to put another script tag where the time and date is printed 😭)
DEVLOG 3:
I suck at coding
DEVLOG 2:
Finished up the case. I am trying to make the firmware now, but it is hard and it sucks so much.

DEVLOG 6:
I accidently crashed Kicad without saving while I was adding the 3d models for the external ports, so I had to do the whole board over again. Other than that, its been smooth sailing. I added a standoff hole for a 2242 NVMe drive, I got the models for the rest of the external IO and now need to start doing ERC checks.

DEVLOG 5:
I did a TON of rewiring to fix the 5V and GND plane issue. I also finished wiring the front IO to the CM5, like two USB ports and one Type-C port, along with other miscellaneous wiring.
DEVLOG 4:
I FINALY figured out what was wrong with my board. There was a single wire that was connecting 5V and GND in a capacitor setup for my USB port hub. I have since fixed it and started working again on wiring things up
DEVLOG 3:
I finished wiring the audio jack (I realized later that this was the physical plug and not the port for it), rewired the fan header and did the ERC checks.
Along with that, I realized that the m.2 slot was not a slot, it was actually a male header to go into a m.2 slot. So, I had to find a new footprint.
There is also an issue with the GND plane. For some reason all of the GND pins say they are +5V. I looked and I couldn’t find any place where they connect so that might be a good 2 hours of my next timelapse just trying to debug that…
DEVLOG 1: I finished the PCB deign and started working on the case for my alarm clock

At this point I started wiring up all of the internal and external headers and ports including
I still want to wire up a few things like a 3.5 mm audio jack.
