NOTE:we had putten so much time to this project (as you can see from the first devlog) but we hadnt captured it in an time lapse(im stupid i know) so the number of hours isnt right, it is more but im just saying that we built this from scrach (exept the laptop, wheel ect.) DYI arcade gaming machine that plays an self made game, has rgb, speakers and uses and old laptop running linux mint. It is controlled by an steering wheel because the game is an racing game.

In this devlog we fixed many bugs (most of them were from the new features)
Added a secret button to make AI start tweaking we added a difficulty changer that has easy (ai is slower and stars behind the player), Normal (just the same as always), Hard (the ai is faster and the player is slower) (actually hard without using shortcuts but still possible)
Bumping into the AI car is better and funnier (it stops the car from fixing itself when being bumped into so it actually does something, before it did nothing) If you didn’t hit all checkpoints when going to the finish line the game lets you know it
When you win the camera goes in the air on top of the AI car so you can see where it was
If you fall through the ground the game now puts you where you were before falling instead of just teleporting you to the start like before.

We did an MASSIVE map rewamp featuring humans who cheer for you, gas stations, red and blue fire, new plants and structures. In real life we added an ventilation system so the machine wouldnt overheat(the system now has an air filter and an fan) and we also added an wooden chair so you can play and sit, we also added an mechanic where you can press an button and the pov swiches so you can see begind the car, we added an new text blink in the press any button to start screen. We secured the black box around the screen. We added an lap system so you have to go 3 laps before winning. We also changed the boost text to english.

We added an working door mechanism so the doors can actually close and stay shut(the steering wheel was blocking the doors),we also painted the arcade gaming machine from places that were not painted or the paint had gotten damaged. We finally got the controller support to work and now all the buttons are working and the game is now playable and an bit easier because of the steering wheel(yay) we also cable managed and added an antenna to the back but its only for decoration.

We remowed the existing joystick and speakers and replased them with an steering wheel and put an speaker inside the mashine so the sound quality is better, we added an sticker to the steering wheel and goed outside to get two rocks that we will put inside the mashine so it wouldnt be wobbly and unstable. We also added an new support for the laptop so it wouldnt fall,in the next devlog we will probably add controller support for the steering wheel and paint the places that dont have paint

The rgb strip is located at the back of the machine. The case is made using an cardboard box and tape that have been painted with black paint. This project would have not been possible without @suklaasukkulayt so an massive thanks to him.
