Dev log #7:

I made all my flask routes to connect to the game engine and guess what , Its actually all working ^^. I’m so happy this was my first time using flask ever. Unfortunately it took well over # hours because I had to sit and manually post everything with postman when testing </3. Up next I need to add error handling

Hi guys. I’m making progress in my journey to learn flask , I have the basics down (routes, POST, GET, Error handling, etc) and I think I’m going to start implementing flask in my game engine or at least try to. So whatever examples I’ve been doing to learn flask I coded it into this flask test file bellow.

hi guys. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to work on it a lot however I did start learning flask and playing around with it, my idea is to take my current game engine wrap it in flask and some how connect it to HTML CSS and JS for the dashboard basically I want people to experience the text based adventure game by using a nice put together website rather than a terminal, even if they just run it locally they can still use the website as the interface to play the text based adventure game. Wish me luck guys.

I worked on the main game engine today and finished the file structure sadly I cant get it to work I have no idea why it just isn’t working but ill debug tomorrow and hopefully get it fixed and this time I really want to try figuring out where I went wrong instead of asking Ai but I will have to use it if I don’t get it sorted myself. Wish me luck guys :)

Dev log #10:

worked on the things that were requested from me after I shipped. So it got rejected because there was no way for the shipwrights to test it even though i added a video demo I made, so I had to come up with an emulator and add it TwT. I also worked towards rewriting my ai code but that is a bit tricky because its only css I used ai in and how do I re-write it? I also added a feature where it scales the green and blue input values down so it matches the actual red strength on my strips because the red operates 50% dimmer than the other colors so if I select white in the web app what gets displayed irl is like a light blue color. Oh yes and I added the changes to my readme and explained how the emulator works. Lets hope I don’t get rejected again TwT

Hey guys. I’m really happy, I found a similar project here which I’m using as sort of a guide, at least now I wont be so clueless as how to make the dnd mechanics, however I’m changing a lot and doing things my style. So far I have the inventory file where all the items will be stored, I also made like a template system so all you need to do to add new items is copy a block of code and fill in its details. Btw I spent over an hour but its lagging TwT.

Hello world!!
This project is my attempt at creating a Text based adventure game but using DnD mechanics and dice rolls. Im trying to combine 2 things I love , programming and DnD So far I started working on the dice.py file. I think this project is going to be challenging because I have to figure out how to adapt the game mechanics to python. Wish me luck :)

LEDBLE CONTROLLER is a web app that allows you to control various functions of your led light strips. It uses the Bluetooth webAPI to connect to your device and let’s you adjust brightness, set specific rgb values and create presets.

Good news I debugged the code turns out the number inpits were not styling at all because i put a semicolon at the end of this line of code by mistake TwT. input[type="range"]::-webkit-slider-thumb:hover{transform:scale(1.15);};. I also optimized it for mobile display. I also worked on the Readme and recorded my demo video, I think im finally ready to ship :)

Hi guys, Today was a productive day I finished most of the css , just the number input boxes aren’t styling at all for some reason and I need to optimise it for mobile. I also added a footer to let people know what browsers support web bluetooth so this web app can work. Bellow are some images of the webapp on mobile and on desktop.

Im adding a new feature where you can create, edit and delete presets so all you need to do to set it to your favorite color is click on that preset. Unfortunately i haven’t gotten it working as yet will give it another go later today. (also i apologize for the repeated pictures it duplicated for some reason and i cant delete it)

Color preview swatch works
Hi guys
I spent quite some time debugging and trying to figure out why my css for the swatch wasn’t working only to realize that I forgot to put a # in front of a div id number TwT. Everything is working with the BLE .

Today I spent a good half an hour trying to figure out why it wasn’t working and why it doesn’t connect only to realise I copied and pasted a few repeated lines (so i don’t need to type it all over again TwT) and forgot to change certain values. Everythings working now though ^^

A little bit of background to this project:
Hello world!
So I have these led light strips that came with a Bluetooth controller, unfortunately the app it came with is unresponsive and doesn’t always work, so I decided to build one myself. So far the website can connect to the light strips, I’m working on it being able to turn the strips on and off, set the rgb values and adjust brightness.
