New project! I am currently testing out the lookout app to track my hours designing the levels and other stuff outside of coding, since I just found out I was able to track my hours working on designing the games as well.
In my new project, I am barely starting my first level!

I made my official first game without fully relying on AI. I did use videos to help me code, as I am still a beginner when it comes to that, especially using c#.

I learned a lot off this one project. For example, how to add a scrolling background. And even if they aren’t perfect, I think it is enough for a very simple game that was completed in a somewhat short amount of coding time.

There was a moment where I gave up on the project because I couldn’t figure it out. Since I was trying my absolute best to not use AI once, I drained myself out and left this alone for about a month or so. I ended up using AI to fix this one problem, and although I don’t remember the exact problem off the top of my head, I did remember how small of a problem it was. I only needed to change one thing.

Even though this challenge is ending very soon, and I have very little hours. I will try my best to make one last project that I will focus on for the next week and few days. I hope you all enjoy this game and hopefully stick around to see my new project! (might be 3D :0 )

I completed adding the background. I am now currently working on adding a satellite that spawns here and there that the rocket can collide with and lose. Next up, levels?

Slowed down for a minute because I was trying to figure out how to move my project into a laptop (had me stressing even though it was so easy). Now that I am able to work from my laptop, hopefully I can get more hours into my work!

Apart from that, I am currently working on figuring out how to make a scrolling background that continues endlessly. Next up, adding levels and increasing speed per every 5-10 points!

I think because I have been inactive for about a month, my hours that were logged were reset. But anyway, I leanred how to remove the rockets from spawning in and never deleting, I finished making a “game over” overlay after the rocket hits the asteroid, and included a “try again” button that resets the whole game. I had a huge issue with the reset button that made me give up this game for a moment since I was trying my very best to not use AI and simply figure it out through other methods. I was able to fix it now, but unfortunately, had to use AI :(. Now that I am done with that, I will try to make the background a outer space background, with stars and everything that might be a image from google, I dont know yet though. Any ideas? leave them in the comments!

What I have been working on is making the rocket move up and down (basically jump with the spacebar), I added asteroids as a way to lose the game if you collide with them, I made the asteroids move from left to right, and right now, I am trying to add a score using UI. I struggle here and there to make this game fun by changing the speed and stuff but so far no AI! (Still a LOT to fix)

So far, on my new project I am trying to figure out basic steps on Unity. As a start, I am planning on making this game into a Flappy bird type of game, but instead of a bird, its a rocket. So far, NO AI, just youtube!

I made my first game that uses the A, B, and C, key binds. I wanted to make it look like a 2d version of subway surfers. What I really struggled with at first was trying to figure out how all of this works, since this is my very first (complete) project. I also struggled with trying to fix an issue that my python game had, which was how the game ended out of nowhere even if the player didnt collide with any obstacle. However, what I am most proud of is being able to say that I made my very first game, even though it doesnt look too cool.
