Glancer: Final Devlog
Glancer is meant to be a stand-in for TRMNL. I had an idea that I’d use it as an always-on desktop application running from a Mac, allowing you to control your calendar, connect your music, and do some other pretty interesting things.
Honestly, building this has been a journey in and of itself. I’ve had fun adding photos of people, coding, learning how to do stuff, and well, anything really. It’s been a really interesting experience getting to experiment with different things and slowly turn an idea into an actual working project.
What changed:
For my last update, not much has changed apart from a few commit changes, some small bug fixes, and a lot of troubleshooting on my end. The troubleshooting wasn’t counted correctly in my original estimate, so I’d probably add another two hours to the total.
What I’m proud of:
In the end, I’m really proud of what I managed to do because this is my first time ever creating a project like this. Working around 25 hours on something might not seem like a lot, but it took me roughly two months to get here.
Throughout that time, I learned a lot, experimented with different things, and had to figure out plenty of problems along the way.
Honestly, it was really, really fun, and I’m happy with what I managed to create. So yeah!
