Productive

OK this is the last devlog 😓

What’s new

I mostly worked on updating the Readme and including the necessary information.

Upcoming

This project is done! I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. While I wish I could’ve done more, this was meant to be a short project and I’ve already spent too much time working on this 😓.

Thanks for following along with this project!

Productive - Last DevLog

It’s almost done!

New look!

I originally wanted the website to be beach themed, but I couldn’t find any good backgrounds, and the sand-colored buttons didn’t really look that good. Instead, I opted for this nature background and green accent colors.

I also made the containers semi-transparent so you can the the wallpaper + added a border.

Why did devlog took so long

Instead of the notepad and calendar on the right, I was making a music player. However, making it was the most grueling, most horrible experience, and I couldn’t even get it to work (I think it was clashing with my other code, but I couldn’t figure out how to fix it 💔) so after about 3-4ish hours I decided to scrap it.

I included the calendar that I mentioned last devlog. I thought adding a clock (like I originally wanted) but it felt unnecessary, so I made a notepad instead.

New features!

  • Increase and decrease minutes button on the pomodoro timer (needs a bit of fixing but mostly works)
  • Notepad
  • Calendar
    - Current month + year shows up at the top
    - Current day is highlighted
    - You can see prev/upcoming months + years

Extra info

I’m happy to see this website finally come together. I’m going to try to fix some bugs before I ship it.

Thanks for reading!

Productive

A website to help you stay on track with your goals!

New feature: Pomodoro Timer

Literally the whole reason why I wanted to make this project. Took me a bit to finish it, but it got done eventually 😓.

What it does:

  • It has 3 different settings/“modes”: a 25 min session, a 5 min break, and a 15 min break
  • You can pause and reset the timer

Next up:

  • Add increase and decrease minutes button for the timer
  • Add a music player (maybe? I feel like it’s above my skill level but I might try to do it)
  • Add a clock or calendar (or maybe both! depends)
  • Change background
  • Change color scheme

Additional:

The next devlog, or the one after, will probably be my last devlog before this project is shipped.

Productive

I made the quote box!!

Every time you refresh the tab, you get a new quote.

I also tried to customize the top bar a bit but it came out ugly/bland :’)

Next up (eventually):

  • Making the pomodoro timer
  • Adding a clock or calendar
  • Add proper colors and wallpaper (making it look better)

Productive

This website is just a way to help people be more productive and track their goals!

So far I’ve only coded the to-do list:

  • Add tasks using the “add” button or pressing enter key.

  • Pressing the “x” on the side removes the task

  • Clicking the circle should check it. But uhh, it doesn’t currently work so I’ll have to figure out how to fix it or scrap it entirely.

Next feature:

I’ll either work on the pomodoro timer or make a quote generator.

Additional/extra info:

Originally I was going to go for a calm blue aesthetic but I feel like adding a gif beach background and making the background of each container (ex. the to-do list) semi-transparent would be cool too.
