A wallpaper app that allows you to set custom html files as your wallpapers.

I also plan on adding a website for nice downloads and like a community marketplace for wallpapers (submit via git commits maybe :hs:)

Would you look at that the app is finished!

This took way less time than usual but its like 500 lines o code, and a single py file, so like, what were you expecting?

Ok, so that happeend way quicker than expected,

I have a nice script for setting a wallpaper where it checks for the manifest and sets the wallpaper as your wallpaper, Here are a few examples.

  • The Blackhole New Tab Blackhole! [Animated video]
  • Cool Dyson sphere thingy! [Static Image]
  • Aurora Thingy [HTML code generated]

This has more potential, so I’m gonna expand on this to make some defaults. I was planning on a cr wallpaper, a space themed wallpaper (prolly my blackhole), some procedurally generated wallpaper (like that medusa sim in lively wallpaper), and some are wallpaper that parallaxes.

Well this app displays.html files as wallpaper, so naturally the 1st step was to get an .html file to be my wallpaper, some Stack Overflow later, I have this test wallpaper as my… wallpaper, I’m still working so patience!
