I made a slack bot for the first time ever!
Heres what I learend:
- How slack’s bot structure is and how to write commands , push to Github, connect to a 24/7 server (Nest by Hackclub)
- More than that I learned how to use python for more than just AI development and that it can be used to power bots.
- I am happy that I finally have my own machine that runs 24/7 and gives me a bunch of utility on Slack!

Devlog 4: Added one useful thing which is TimeZone command!
- People usually need to go to google and search for each place but with my bot all u need is to type a command!
- This is my final commit for now!

Devlog 3: Finally added a basic calculator and a joke command..
- The calculator was created to support quick inline calculations; it can only perform basic arithmetic operations.
- The dad joke is received from icanhazdadjoke’s website api and then I just printed it out.
- The app is now hosted online forever using PM2.

Devlog 2: What is a bot without RPS ( Rock paper scissors)
- I learned the spelling of scissors at last, lol
- Anyways after in depth research on the functions and methods of slack-bolt I found how to get the user inputs
- Then slowly but surely I put together a bot which can play rock paper scissors
- Up Next ( Last thing i will add) is utility commands, maybe I’ll keep adding more…
