This is ryOS, an webOS with a little bit of Ryo Yamada. It has 4 apps built into it.

Features

  • Ryo Yamada
  • Draggable windows - As well as being able to drag them, you can also click on one to bring it to the front, close them, etc.
  • Working time and date
  • A notes app - this was done using a textarea that just saves the text contents inside to localstorage. It was pretty simple and easy to make
  • A pong app - this is a simple game of pong, and you control the left side using your mouse. The AI is pretty hard, and I haven’t gotten a point yet.
  • A music app - this just opens up a window with the option to play one song, and that’s Seishun Complex by Kessoku Band.
  • A photos app - clicking on the left or right buttons of the window allows you to switch between different photos.

lowk this is such a troll project

I added 3 more apps, so now there are 4 in total. They are a ryong app, a ryosic app, and a ryotos app (pong, music, and photos).

On the pong app, you use your mouse to control the left side. The AI is pretty good though. I haven’t been able to beat it yet.

On the music app, you can only play Seishun Complex by Kessoku Band. Anyway, I just put a music player in a window, and it works pretty well.

Finally, on the photos app, its just several photos of Ryo that you can switch between. I’m pretty proud of this ngl.

I built a simple notes app that just stores what you type in a text app into local storage. I’m going to finish the project with a few other apps first.

Devlog 1

I lowkey just needed 50 more stardust, so I’m doing this project.

Anyway, I’m just following the guide and customizing it to my liking. I’ve added a welcome screen, but I’ll add more later. I’ve also styled the close buttons and the dragging mechanic.
