Holiwisssss, I’ve finished assembling the double claw. Tomorrow, I’ll show you a bit of how it works, and finally, I’ll make some updates to the GitHub repository to make everything easier. Thanks for waiting.
HOoliwis @shauz! Well, I learned from YouTube tutorials, but believe me, it really wasn’t easy. To be honest, sometimes I get tired of practicing in CAD, too, and I’m not as good as it looks—I just give it my best shot. If you want to get good, I recommend three things: be good at geometry (or at least at drawing shapes), have plenty of creativity, and have the drive to actually get things done. I actually learned using SolidWorks tutorials even though I was using Fusion, so I’m probably the worst example to follow! But if I had to do it all over again, I’d look for tutorials on exactly what I wanted to create. I’d start with difficult projects—because I’m a bit of a masochist—and when I realized I couldn’t pull it off, I’d start researching what I needed to make those cool designs happen. If you told me exactly what you want to design, I could give you better advice on where to start. Anyway, thanks for the comment; I love it when people ask questions or reach out for help. I’m really happy to guide you.
wow thanks for telling me, its just that i wanted to start 3d designing and buy a 3d printer maybe bambu a1 mini because i find is super cool that you can just imagine something , create it and there it is in front of you. ive made some projects with esp’s and i thought the work youre doing is really cool. so thanks for the advice!
@shauz, feel free to message me on Slack so we can chat more; I have some experience with this. My printer might not be a Bambu Lab, but it is a more technical machine, and I’ve got some know-how. So, if you want any tips or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Best of luck!
@shauz no problem. Slack is the messaging app used by most people who participate in Hack Club events; that’s where you can find out about more contest pages like this one.
