This is Chrome Extension that allows anyone to markup articles! It allows you to create notes, highlight directly on the article and save your highlights based on each article, gives you an AI summary, and defines words! What did I do? With AI, I was able to adjust my define feature to make sure that it was functional. However it still isn’t completely functional, I need some minor adjustments, but I have no idea how to get started without any suggestions from AI. What’s next? I’ll ask AI which files to fix and I guess I’ll learn how to code from that!

What did I do? I had two popup.js files, and I tried deleting each one to see what each of them does, and I think they are both crucial, but I figured out the one with the most importance, so now I can analyze what is missing from there and what I should be changing to make this fully functional once again!

What did I do? I fixed my file, restored it to its original version, and deleted the mess with the branch from last time. What next? Try to troubleshoot my project, either with the help of AI, or simply dissecting code I’ve never seen.

What did I do? I realized I had two popup.js files, and after reviewing my project, one had been human written, troubleshooted with AI, and one had been completely human written. I deleted the AI one and chose the human one, but my features still weren’t working, so it had to be something else, but now I have a version control issue - kinda. What do I need to do next? Figure out all the branches, and how I can fix all these weird issues. Merge issues are very bad

What did I do? I updated the READ.me because the way the extension works is a little different, and then it is assumed to not work, because of it, so I wanted to add some clarification. Also, as seen in the picture, I updated the manifest to create a cool new feature! What’s next? Create a feature where the information you write can easily be transferred into a Google Doc, again, for more connivence.

I, with three other people, created a chrome extension that has the ability to help students around the world! This extension, the Article Annotator, allows you to take notes, have an AI summary, define specific words, and save highlighted/annotated sentences, so that the next time you open up the article, you can see what exactly you wanted to remember! This project allows everything to happen in one tab, rather than switching between many different tabs. There are more updates that I want to create, like a sync to Google Docs for all notes to be transferred! Enjoy, students!

It is finally functional! After five hours of coding, along with collaborating with an amazing team, this project works! What’s coming next? I want to add a feature where all the annotations can sync with a Google Doc, to make student’s lives a bit easier!
