I’m building a biosignal-controlled drone as an experimental human-computer interface project. The idea is to explore whether signals generated by the human body, such as EEG or EMG signals, can be captured, processed, and translated into digital commands. I’ll be working on the complete system, including the sensing hardware, signal acquisition, signal processing, and software needed to recognize specific signals. These signals will then be mapped to commands for a small drone system, with testing carried out in a controlled environment. The project combines electronics, embedded systems, signal processing, programming, and machine learning. Since this is my first major hardware project, I also want to learn how to connect different components, troubleshoot hardware and software together, and document the entire build. The final goal is a working prototype that demonstrates biosignal-based control of a drone.
