Schematics Unofficially Finished!!!
I am sleep deprived
Hi y’all, it’s finally happened! After hours of work, I have 9 pages of electrical schematics for my handheld gaming console, and after depriving my sleep a bit more checking for errors it’ll be ready to move on to the PCB stage!
Here’s an overview of all my features and things:
- 4GB DDR4
- Quad Core 2ghz RK3566
- 7” MIPI-DSI touchscreen
- Onboard RP2040 for gamepad
- 2x USB-A ports, 1x USB-C port for charging and debug
- HDMI port
- Fan port
- SD Card slot
- Overengineered battery and power system
- Basically full functionality as a desktop computer as well
- UART debug header and lots of test pads
Btw I can’t upload more than 4 pictures 😭
I’m really excited for this since this should be able to actually play some games like modded Minecraft, Balatro, PSP/PS1/N64 games, and various others!
What’s next:
- Checking for errors
- Assigning footprints
- Working on the PCB
- (And eventually designing a case for it)
