A small palm-sized device that listens to you when you play and it works out the scale and also gives you a drone of that scale to practice against.

Hello!

You are missing a lot of the stuff that we would need in order to review your project. If you are making a PCB for this project (As it seems like you do), make sure that you have the KiCad files that go along with it.

In addition, you are missing the CAD files for your case, and you are missing the firmware code for the project.

After you do that, make sure that you have a production folder with everything that you would need to make everything. This would include the .step files for the different parts of the shell, the compiled firmware, if it creates a new file when you compile, and the gerber files for your PCB.

Use this repo as an example of an amazing file structure: https://github.com/qcoral/orpheuspad

Once you are done these changes, we will have a look at everything, and tell you whether it's approved, or whether you need some more changes.

Hii so all I did was just fix my readme because I was unaware AI is not aloud for that so I just changed everything into my own words and removed the ai text in my images. I also figured out that I told everyone how to run my project wrong so lol I fixed that.

Some of my images arent aligned like the 2 images with the list but thats fine its just the bomcsv and a few electrical components and comments.

So yes my readme and everything is finallly done.

While I'm here--The readme in this needs a bit of work. We don't allow any AI use for readme's, right now some of your photos look like AI and it has a general sense of AI. Here's a few example projects for you to get a sense of good hardware README's:

Sick project!

OK so this last hour has gone crazy so I got told I need my schematic which I forgot to do like screenshots and everything so I made those in canva BUT THEY DIDNT TRACK because of a glitch…so thats pretty sad and AI helped me get back on track by putting the images I gave it on my readme and it added a diagram I told it to so thats good. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH CLAUDE for helping me with my writing too.

Yeah so below I attached some of my schematic designs and it took a long time as you can see lets say more then 3 hours on CANVA.

So honestly I believe I am done now but I wish the time could have gotten tracked. BUT its fine and thx claude again for helping me with my readme.

I converted all my canadian prices into usa currency which took 15 min and I found out a few errors which were fixed and even though my my total is a couple of cents off its fine because the price on amazon changed but its fine.

Overall letss see how it goes in the future when I recieve my hardware thxx adioss.

this is an extremely cool project to see as a jazz musician! however, i need you to put some screenshots of your actual design (schematic/cad/pcb) in the repo! Looking in your BOM, you're using three ESP32s. I think just one ESP32 can handle your project unless you're needing the extra pins. Also I think you submitted your request in CAD and not USD, so when you resubmit just convert it to USD. Otherwise it's looking pretty great, keep it up!

It then occurred to me that I didn’t code the HTML from scratch but thankfully I had an old project from maybe a year back with 300-400 lines of code which was working fine and I used it as the base. I made some minor tweaks here and there mostly with the camera part and made it presentable enough to use as a demo until we get the hardware when I will extend it with the C++ side and get it done properly.

Within the past hour, I conducted a terminal test on my device and passed with flying colors, with all the scales giving an “OK” on their readings. Also, I added the README file, and cleaned up my code files and project folders, to ensure everything was in order and properly organized. Besides, I completed the design of the circuit planning schematic that I will use when the hardware components are available, with an additional side note for clarity on what’s being used and how. I did the design of the entire circuit in Canva, which actually took me a little time to do because the interface is user-friendly.

I completed the entire sur.cpp module that now takes care of everything from chroma extraction to tonic and scale detection based on western pitch classes as well as hindustani swaras. I included lookup tables for note names, swaras, mapping of western scales to hindustani scales, and Krumhansl-Kessler probe tone profile for correlation based on major/minor scales. In the update loop, we now have peak-picking, parabolic interpolation, MIDI/cents conversion, pitch-class accumulation with weights that go into fast/slow chroma filters for stability. Estimation involves rotating chroma against probe-tone templates, sustain-biasing, choosing the most prominent tonic, evaluating the coverage of the scale, and using a locking/challenging mechanism to eliminate any jitter and handle actual key changes. All put together, this makes sur.cpp an accurate pitch-scale detection module producing stable tonics, confidence values, and best-fit scales.

Overall a significant amount of progress was made.

Over these last 2 hours I completed like 40+ lines of C++ with the help of claude a bit and I created a blueprint with canva and bom.csv with sheets which represents how the project is gonna go entirely. Currently based on my ideas I want the shape to be kinda like a cylinder shapewith very small height. It should be able to help people that play music is various sorts of ways like the metronome for example if its hard coded onto a tiny device with a good speaker it would be amazing and also the tuner and some other features becuase everything will be hardcoded and possibly ill add a recording function which stores in its local database.

Overall it is going good so far and yeah lets see how it goes.
