Happy to share that my friend Azim and I are basically done with the project :).
Here are some of our learning outcomes.
We learned how to put the web app in the cloud using the railway so that it runs all the time. It was very cool because we had never done this before. Also we learned how to integrate things like sendblue for the messaging service, convex for the database, and composio for integrations. We learned how to deploy a website for the first time with a custom domain and update DNS records. We learned what a monorepo was and how it could be useful for our product → we shaped it like a web app, electron app, mobile, etc. We also improved our github skills through making PRs, merging, figuring out how to solve merge conflicts. We learned how to make dispatcher models, allowing an agent to use multiple subprocesses and other tools. Improved our skills at navigating editors like VS Code and Zed.

Currently it may not work because we don’t have the subscription for phone numbers to unverified numbers, so that would be our next goal. Lowkey need a grant or smth cuz its $100.

Devlog #1
Hey everyone, excited to share my first devlog of the project my friend Azim and I have been grinding on for the past couple of days. We build azraj, which is an ai accountability coach over imessage. Essentially, we wanted to build systems that help me build systems. I noticed to beat procastination, if I have someone hovering over me, making SURE I actually do the work, would be so much more effective that just doing everything yourself. Azraj helps you plan out your day in the morning, nags you throughout the day to check if you actually followed up on your plan or if your just doomscrolling, and at night you can journal with azraj.
