Reinforcement Learning Camera Preset Generator

A reinforcement learning agent that can determine the settings needed to make a raw image look like it’s been through a certain filter.

Ship #1 Pending review

I built a reinforcement Machine Learning model that finds out what photo editing settings best replicate a filter.

Photographers: Have you ever seen someone post an amazing before and after photo, but you have no idea what settings they used? Have no fear, just run this program overnight with the photos and find out what settings those gatekeepers used.

How to try it:

If you don’t want to train a model overnight, you can download cli.exe from releases to try it out with a model I trained on my yellow-tinted sunglasses.

If you do want to train a model, gather before/after photos and follow the detailed instructions in the readme.

first full model training and it went TERRIBLE. My scoring was based on the histogram for the image, so color is not preserved :cry-cursed: . These photos have very similar average light values. I’m going to rerun the model with a new scoring algorithm that scores each color channel individually.

I’m working on a reinforcement learning photo model that can determine what post-processing settings can be used to make an image look like certain filters (infrared filters, sunglasses, etc)

Right now my biggest bottleneck is waiting for training. This test on a simple setting took over 16 hours to train. I am also not very familiar with RL, so I’m learning as I go.
