Ship #1

🚀SpaceWeb
It is a website that shows you the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).
When you visit the website first you will see todays APOD but there is a date picker which lets you pick date and the APOD from that day will show up.
It runs on NASA API. The main problem is that the fail rate of connection is quite high. But refresh always helps.
I added loading animation so people do not get that much frustrated.
SpaceWeb is programmed in Javascript and designed using HTML and CSS. It is hosted on GitHub Pages.

🚀SpaceWeb devlog#2

In the last devlog I was talking about adding a date picker and so I did. Now the website feels much more useful and I do not have to stare at the one same image.
I also tried making the looks better by adding some headings and also more colors ✨

Here are some pretty photos I found:

I just finished the Give Your Website a Pulse and here is what I learned and implemented:

  • NASAs API fetching
  • Using Google fonts on websites
  • Making basic text animations

I will try letting the users change the date of the “astronomy photo of the day” so you can kinda browse through them
