Devlog 16

One new feature and one revolutional app for the celebration 😲:

• The WaldOS has got it´s own control center. Now you open apps in this center and then they are shown in the taskbar like in all other real operating systems! Also you can now minimize apps or close them complete.

• The new App:
  Introducing the WaldTravel!
  The WaldTravel is a tool you can plan your next trip more climate nutral and you can explore how much
  CO2 is expelled with different Vehicles!

Short realtalk:
This app is very important to me to show all the world how to reduce greenhouse gases and help with climate protection ♥️🌳! This is the most important topic for our (the stardance) generation and the following ones and I think stardance is a good way to show this importance to more people. Thank you 🥰

The app is very interactive and shows the importance of this topic in an easy and good to understand way with visualization!

• Also I fixed again some bugs and smoothed the WaldOS© 2.0 expierience more 🥱!

The first accessibility feature is full working now 🤖🎉

• The VoiceAI is now completely integrated in the WaldOS© 2.0 without a App needed. Just press the starring right under the title and talk to the VoiceAI!
  Also then there is a cool animation 🙃

• The VoiceAI can now complete tasks in the apps like setting a timer or write down notes for you 😯

• In the Settings App you can controll the VoiceAI and also read the user manuell to get to know how the VoiceAI works excactly.

What changed else:

• Nothing 😢

But right now I´m working on a big new feature witch revoluts the opening process of the Apps in the WaldOS© 2.0, so stay tuned 😉

Devlog 14

The biggest new feature in the history of the WaldOS© 2.0 has launched its beta version 🥳!
The Waldasist is a integrated voice assistant in the WaldOS© 2.0.
You can easyly activate it by pressing on the circle of stars right under the title.
Now you can say the name of the App and it opens by magic.
Also you can say maximize and then the name of the app and close apps by saying close and the app name.

I´m right now working on a voice assist even in the apps themself but that´s not that easy!

What changed too:
Just a bit buggfixing in the Waldracer and WaldAi 😢

A lot of cool new things for all with shortend attentionspan:

1. A legendary starting animation in which … ahh no, just watch the video or visit: https://waldewort.github.io/WaldOS/ by your own! (but watch out it´s epic 😯)

2. A new app with mathematical generated ambience sounds to learn or chill. Google Gemini helped me with this cause the generating of sounds is mindblowing complex. Thank you Gemini XD (But I made all around by my own and I think it´s a good app anyways! ) (I just recognized I still don´t have an app icon, but fixed till next time! )

3. A bit of bugfixing and testing with different thinks (stay tuned 😉)

The 3 new apps:

A clock, alarm and stopwatch app to not forget the time! Very simple done! (yippie 🥳)

The thing most of the people wanted:

An integrated WaldAI 🤖😲:
Using an free croq API I created the WaldAI.
It´s using the gpt oss 120b modell by openai and is a bit stupid but for normal questions it´s okay (just don´t ask things witch are newer than 2024 😉😂)

A very simple integrated game:

The Waldracer!
It´s the game slowroads by topograph.io and now it´s in the WaldOS© 2.0 as a standalone game thanks to the open source of their game: https://slowroads.io 🎉

First time ever I really did what I said in last Devlog:
Introducing the own creatable and saveable Universum function in the settings app (yesss, fully customiseable - other than apple XD)

1. Two new Apps (Wow I was productive 😁):
   The WaldCalc, a … Calculator (stunning 😲)
   And the…
   WaldSky, a App you can watch the real stars flying over sky.
   You can let you show real constellations and the names of them 💫.
   You can set in a time and place so you know where to have to look with your Crush during night to see the Ursa Minor ( Just joking, we are coder, not touching grass (or girls 😜(just joking again😂)) 😢).

2. New Icon design:
   Gemini cooked with the new Icons, I just inserted them (took anyways like one hour)

3. A little Copyright sentence under the title to prevent abuse 😲

1. The new glassy design with the new header is now applied on all Apps (sadly looks bit like apple :( )
2. A new App has launched:
   The settings (wow how exciting XD)
   -The background is now fully costummizable with the settings app.
   -You can choose of 6 different Presets for Colouring
   -You can create your own colouring
   -You can set the speed and digit of stars and how far constellations are forming (watch out for your potato PC - Graphical intensive 😉)
   -You can Rename the main title in the middle of the WebOS!
3. Bugfixes 2.3 on Waldiverse and Waldlas
4. First performance fix and improvement (no fun 😢)

Lunch of the WaldOS© Version 1.0 today❗

Thinks changed since last time:

1. The best App has launched, The Waldlas:
   A Openstreetmaps based maps app with a lot of functions:

• Your current location and the WaldOS© Headquarter are fixed on the map as a pin.
• You can klick anywhere on the map and pin a emoji with text to the map to don´t ever forget where this good restaurant was ( because we all forget always 😢, but not anymore 🥳)
• A searchbar makes it possible to find any location within milliseconds (for all the bad geographie students 😉)
• And a FULLY USEABLE ROUTESEARCH SIDEBAR (wow!), just type in two locations and it will find the fastest route for cars!

1. Again a new design! I removed the background and now theres something like a glassy optic ( I know a bit mainstream but I didn´t know what else 😢)
2. Bugfixes 1.3 for the Waldiverse and the Waldsearch
3. I don´t know it´s too much happend XD

Now the WaldOS has an fullscreenmode to make it feel like a real Operating System (That´s so cool!)
Other things I added:

1. Togglemode for the appicons to close them by pressing again on them
2. A new App has launched (yippie):
   A calender to write in all your import dates to ship the next project for stardance XD
3. The Taskbar border is gone now the Border is the sun 🤯
4. The Waldiverse and Waldsearch became their own Icons and a big remake:
   The Waldiverse (YouTube) experience is now way smoother and easier to handle
   The Waldsearch has now a own Wikipedia Screen in the WaldOS 😱 which opens by choosing an article and makes the expierience of WaldOS© sooo immersive (befor you was kicked out to your browser 🙄)
5. The design is a bit updated and some datails like backgroundcolors changed (some uninteresting stuff XD )

1. Better WaldVideo App:
   Thanks to the google cloud YouTube DATA API v3 now you can search directly in the window and then watch your favorite Videos ( yesss, that´s soo cool :))

2. The WaldSearch:
   A Wikipedia Action API make it possible to search all you want to know and then get the matching Wikipedia Pages to read (Only the best information for you all XD )

3. New App in building:
   I´m building up an complete own app in the WaldOS without any iframes or APIs, the release of this will be next time (you have to have a bit patience, it will be soo cool. I promise :)))

Just finished the first part of the tutorial!
I´ve once learned HTML in school like in sixth class or so and now all the memories come back and it´s a lot of fun to program in HTML (although the WaldOS© looks like garbage XD). But I´m hyped to build it better and spend way more time in this cool project which I can still use after the Stardance Challenge!
