What did you make?

XO OS – a fully functional desktop OS in the browser. Includes 10 apps, draggable windows, taskbar, start menu, and easter eggs (Konami Code, Secret Menu, Retro Mode). Built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

What was challenging?

• Git issues (nested .git folder, master vs main)
• CSS vendor prefixes (background-clip bug)
• Window z-index management
• Secret Menu trigger (clock double-click) – added terminal backup
• Album app typo (win-photo album vs win-album)
• GitHub Pages not working – switched to Vercel

What are you proud of?

• Complete OS in a single HTML file
• 10 working apps
• Creative easter eggs
• Mobile responsive
• Learned a ton and didn’t give up!
