What has been done!

A.. Lot!

Pretty much these few things:

• Marketplace/Shop page has been fixed, with the rotating shop items now being unique for each user and rotating each day at 12am (AEST). Items already owned by users will never appear in their shop again.
• Academy Mode works now! I got the menu page for it to look the way I want it to, as well as the actual video needing to be played before completing the questions (or you could click the skip button if you want ig :) ). (The videos are from the BibleProject YouTube channel, who allow use of their video and content for non-commercial uses and do not require payment to access, adequate acknowledgement has been provided inline with their Term’s of Use).
• Scrolls are now actually gained from completing game modes inside Quest Mode, added to user’s database document (even guest users!).
• For Racetrack Mode 🚗, users can only gain their Scroll reward from each different race once per day, any more than that, and no scroll reward is given.
• Settings options actually work now, especially the toggle contrast and the font size slider!
• Verse Board now features a TTL function, which will clear old verse sets that have not had any plays within the last 30 days.

And thats all so far! 🔥

What’s Next?

• I want to actually add some graphics (probably SVG’s) for Marketplace items rather than just the generic blue card background.
• I want to add a tutorial overlay that is displayed for users who have just clicked the Quest Mode button from the home page, to highlight each of the different actions they can take on the page, and to explain the general purpose of the mode!

So, that is what has been done, along with what is to come!

Wow, a lot of work done!
I have completed so many features! From a new game mode, to a marketplace to a verse board where users can submit their own games for others to play!

I have uploaded the website to: better-bibleguesser.web.app for anyone who would wish to play it, or to just see what it is all about!

What Was Done:

• New “Quest Mode” game mode completed with a Marketplace, Academy, and Racetrack mini-modes to play and interact with! Completing certain game modes within the Quest Mode will reward signed-in users with a new currency: Scrolls. Scrolls can be used to purchase account decoration options in profile settings!
• The Marketplace rotates items through every 24 hours, and you will never be shown items that you have already purchased. Profile customisation options set by users before this update will remain active unless changed.
• Support for low-vision or impaired vision users with contrast, font size and other accessibility options and settings available.
• New Verse Board modal for users to upload their “Create Game” verse for others to view and play. Total plays are tracked and displayed on the sets’ modal card.
• Leaderboards and Statistic tracking and display have been fixed: Profile customisation options will now show.
• Better account handling and security through Firebase Auth and Google Sign-in’s.

Well, some more work still to come!
