After weeks of planning, designing, rewriting, and testing, I’m excited to finally say that The Lost Website is complete.
This project started with a simple idea: What if someone discovered a forgotten website that was never meant to be found? From there, it slowly grew into an archive of strange files, mysterious documents, hidden pages, and interconnected stories waiting to be uncovered.
The goal was never to create a website that simply tells a story. Instead, I wanted visitors to feel like investigators. Every file, image, and piece of information exists for a reason. Some clues are obvious, while others are buried deeper within the archive. The more time you spend exploring, the more connections you’ll begin to notice.
One of the biggest priorities during development was immersion. I wanted the experience to feel authentic—as though the website had existed for years before being rediscovered. That meant carefully designing the interface, organizing the archive, and removing anything that broke the illusion.
The finished website contains multiple sections to explore, each holding its own mysteries and secrets. While it may appear straightforward at first glance, not everything is as it seems. There are hidden details, unusual patterns, and unanswered questions scattered throughout the archive.
Creating this project taught me a lot about web design, storytelling, and how small details can completely change the way people experience a website. It challenged me to think differently about navigation, user interaction, and environmental storytelling.
For now, The Lost Website is complete. The archive is open, the files are waiting, and the mystery is ready to be explored.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit and investigate.
Good luck.
