🐝BeePad devlog #2

So after my last devlog i decided to remake the PCB and make it hexagon shaped so it can represent beehive. I had to remake all of the wiring on my PCB. I struggled a bit when creating the shape but i eventually figured it out.

My biggest enemy is fusion :D It took me a lot of time to figure out everything in fusion. After many hours of struggling i finally had a case that could be used. I added text, the USB port hole, keypad holes, rotary encoder hole and also hole for the display. I tried my best making it look like a beehive.

I also quite struggled with 3 models of the parts like keypads, displays and rotary encoder. I was not quite sure on how to add them to the PCB and to the model in fusion. Then i realized it was in the resources and tips tab in the tutorial…

I think I am now ready to submit the project so I can receive the kit. I am pretty hyped to build it IRL so I hope there will not be much problems. Wish me luck!✨

🐝BeePad devlog #1

After many hours of trial and error I decided to give up on creating my own Hackpad. I just was not happy with the outcome of my work, so I decide to start from scratch and completely rebuild the whole project.

My biggest mistake was that I did not have a vision. I just aimlessly followed the tutorial and I got demotivated quite fast. Now I have a vision and I will do everything to finish my Hackpad.

I just finished my PCB design and the biggest challenge is ahead of me. Designing the case. For me fusion is really complicated to navigate and I struggle with it. Stay tuned and I will keep you updated :D✨
