-
Paint app
- Small paint app. Complete with a color picker, brush size, clear canvas button, and fill canvas button
What’s new (Visuals)
- Changed the window borders from black to a light brown/gray
- Fixed window sizes
What’s next
- Update the Readme and ship!
After ship
- Fight with js to create a system where I can easily add new entries into the diary
- Create a gallery app (and draw images for it)
Until next time!!

“Find her” - Mystery detective game made for the WebOS mission
Background info
Hiii, it’s been a while. So I took a break from this project cause I didn’t really enjoy working on it. I ended up making a whole different project, (“Productive”, go check it out!) just to distance myself from this project. Anyways, I finally decided to finish this project 😛.
New look!
-
New background
- It’ll probably change in the future, but I’m happy with it for right now (tho I’ll need to make it darker cause it’s too bright)
-
New color scheme
- Pink, and pink, and pink, and a dash of red
New features + other new additions
Appreciation section
Soooo, the reason I stopped working on this project was because I could get the windows to come to the top when clicked. I didn’t really understand what the guide was explained so I was just stuck.
A few days ago I stumbled upon @Mokila ‘s WebOS (which is super cool it’s called “EpochOS” if you wanna check it out!). I checked out their code and decided to try out their z-index code to see if it would work for me, and it did!!!
Thank you Mokila for your awesome project, you’re goated. You’re literally the reason why I feel motivated to continue working on this project!!!!
What’s next
I want to ship this project so I can move onto WebOS 2 and begin writing and working on the actual mystery aspect.
I’m going to make 2 apps and make some aesthetic/visual changes before shipping
- Calculator app
- Paint app
- Finish making the diary/notes app
I’m so happy to be returning to this project

FindingHerOS 1
.
This devlog is moreso to document the before of the website before I add the wallpaper and include right colors scheme.
My first app is going to be a notes app/diary app that includes all of Stacy’s thoughts/feelings and hints on how to complete the mystery.
.
What I’ve done so far:
-Added a top bar with working timer
-Added instructions pages (will be longer in the future)
.
Coding this has been a struggle, but I’m enjoying the process so far.
Anyways, have a good day!

FindingHerOS 1
After a lot of struggling, I managed to make the instruction window draggable. After I make one or two apps, I’m going to focus on the aesthetics of the WebOs.

Finding HerOS 1
FindingHerOS is about you, the player, going through your old classmate’s, Stacy’s, computer to uncover the secrets behind her disappearance.
Backstory: I always found these type of puzzle/mystery games interesting (ex. Sarah is Missing, Simulacra, Scrutinized). So instead of making a portfolio style WebOs, I decided to make a mystery puzzle game!
The OS only has the welcome screen, background, and time bar so far. It’s taking me a while since this is my first time coding, so I’m taking it step-by-step.
Future apps/mechanics:
A notes app- Full of Stacy’s ideas, feelings, etc.
A working gmail app
A social media app- similar to Insta
A video app with (hopefully) working videos
A files app
And more!
