I worked on getting many things setup, like the basics of window management and movement.
I also added login/logoff sounds.
The settings app is pretty half-baked as of current but hey, it’s a work in progress.

I’ve added a help command to Starslack, showing all available commands and what they do. Starslack also now has a channel on the Hack Club Slack.
Learning more about how Slack bots work as someone who’s worked on a Discord bot or few has been really interesting. Today I learned how to use blocks, buttons, modals and more. Making improvements to the random NWS alert command utilizing them makes me much more proud of it. (I also added a random bunny image command 🐇)
I’ve implemented many things so far, like a honeypot channel to catch spam bots, a ticket system for users to get support from staff, information messages for rules and guidelines, user verification via a button press, and new member announcements with custom images. (pictured below)
Figuring out what exactly to add to a project when I’m just learning about the tools is quite hard. It took me longer than I like to admit to come up with the seemingly random feature of just providing a random NWS alert.
