I have designed a macropad called "LemonPad" (based off my gaming username and lifelong user) so that I can use it for auto opening apps, games, and registering certain commands I have for VS Code. Navigating the design was challenging due to working in Fusion with the Design History timeline turned off, which locked sketch planes and grayed out standard copy/cut functions. The build, I felt achieved great success, as I was able to design my very own device and hardware product from scratch and I have learnt some skills working on this in the process. To test it users can go to the Onshape website where I imported the step files as an assembled build, although I'm unsure how to fully render it with a screen, rotary encoder, and switches without building it first.

Today I was just continuing to work on the 3D Modeling aspect of the macropad by creating the step files for the Top and bottom of the case. In the top I made cutouts using measurements of the switches, OLED, and rotary encoder specs.

Day 1 - LemonPad: Today I created the schematic which consisted of 4 switches, the microcontroller (xiao), a rotary encoder, and OLED Screen. Then I created a layout that is compact and should be able to fit all the parts. This all took about 4 hours as I was trying to understand what parts connect to which pin on the microcontroller. Finally the last two hours were trying to learn how to do CAD modeling.
