SW-Crawl Devlog 1

Brainstormed an idea to recreate the iconic Star Wars crawl animation. I am thinking of writing something and displaying it on a website. The text would move like the text at the start of the Star Wars movies. As I don’t know CSS animations well, I am learning them to build this. I worked on the CSS Styles today.

I made a website called Math Canvas, an interactive Math and Physics Visualizer. It has 3 modes: Graph Plot (You can plot graphs here), Statistics (run statistics on data), Projectile Motion (Analyse a projectile’s trajectory). I didn’t use HTML for this website; instead, I coded it in Streamlit, a Python library for building web apps. I also used Matplotlib for the graph plotting and NumPy to help in creating arrays and dealing with numbers. This website took around 4 hours to build, and it was an engaging experience for me. Over time, I will add more and more features to the website. I have uploaded the source code and deployed it using Streamlit.

Math Canvas

Finished the website!
Here’s what it is:
3 Modes: Graph Plot, StartFX and Project I Motion.

In the graph plot there are different options for graphs, like constant, linear, quadratic, etc., and you enter inputs such as the amplitude, frequency, coefficient of x, etc, and the website plots the graph.

In Statistics, you enter 3 to 10 numbers and you get a full statistical run on it, which includes the mean, median, variance, standard deviation, and more.

In the projectile motion mode, you can enter the initial velocity, angle of projection, and more, and the time of flight, maximum height, horizontal range, and complete trajectory of the projectile are shown on the screen.

This website uses no HTML. It is powered by Streamlit, a library in Python which is used to build websites. If you want to visit the website, go to mathcanvas.streamlit.app.

MathCanvas Devlog 3

Today, I worked on the projectile motion mode. The user has to input the initial velocity, angle of projection, and mass. The horizontal range, maximum height travelled, and more data are automatically computed, and the trajectory is shown on a graph. It’s almost done. Looking forward to completing it tomorrow!

Math Canvas Devlog 2

Coding the statistics page today. The user inputs n numbers, and the app displays their mean, median, variance, and more. A bar chart is also shown. Still didn’t use a single HTML element and used Streamlit-based CSS for the background color.

Done a lot of work today. Made the landing page, mode choices, and the webpages for the different modes of equations. Didn’t work on the statistics mode, but will do it tomorrow. Learnt lots today! Can’t believe that it’s done with no HTML and CSS!

This project is a website that has three food items and their descriptions, with their recipes and how to make them. I decided to do something different this time, so I made it without CSS, and I also learned two new things in this project: making a progress bar and a dialog box, which used JavaScript. I also used HTML frames.

There are three recipes, and you can see how to make them and their descriptions. I used a progress bar to show how difficult it was, as a rating out of 10, to cook them. I have deployed it using Vercel.

Finally done with my website!
Updates:
Finalized the webpages for each food item.
Added Images and made a new logo.
New thing learnt: Progress bar and dialog box.
Added instructions and steps to make each item.

Hope this gets accepted for shipping! :D

Helloo! First day making a website. This time, the constraint is NO CSS! Only HTML and a little JavaScript. I am making a culinary guide that will have 3 or more recipes and their descriptions. I have an idea of using frames and something like that. Today I made the main page, and the 3 separate pages for each food item.

Routing done! Yesterday, I spent such a long time trying to route the PCB. Today, it’s done. Phew. I hope it’s done correctly. I learnt about vias and how you can go from one layer to another. I also added some custom text.

Next Steps:
Double check the schematic and PCB.
Update the Github repo
Draft the Bill of materials
Submit for Funding!

Hi guys! Today I was working on routing all the components on the PCB, and it was so hard! I had to try to find alternate paths for each trace. I had to avoid some paths, create vias to other layers, and it was challenging. But I hope to fix it and remove the issue soon. It was a completely new experience for me.

Continuing my work on the PCB. For those of you who don’t know: It’s a Thor-inspired PCB that makes a series of 10 LEDs light up in a sequence. Today, I added the icon of a lightning bolt and wrote a description of the project. I had a minor issue with aligning the text description. I hope to complete this soon. :D

Working on the PCB for my LED Chaser. Got into some issues while importing the .dxf file for the board outline, but now its fine! I have placed the components, but the routing is left. Hope to finish it soon!

It’s my first day making an LED Chaser! Project goal: 10 LEDs light up in a sequence. I have some ideas to make the final project better, but this is the start. It’s a bit easy right now, and it’s also my first PCB. Hope it works! :D

I have made my own personal website, and I’m really happy that I made one because I have been wanting this for a really long time. Now that I have learned the basics of web development, I got to see my dream come true. Something challenging was the CSS and the JavaScript so I used a bit of AI for help on that.

Completed my personal website! After several hours of coding in VSCode, I am joyful to say that it’s ready. The only thing that’s left is for you to see it!
Features:
Home: About the website and the main nav bar.
Engineering: My circuits, hardware projects, PCBs, CAD drawings.
Art: Some of my drawings.
Literary: My essays, stories, articles and write-ups published
About: About me

Making one of the final changes to my website! Most of the work is done, yet some key points are left. Today I worked on linking the tabs better, improving the individual webpages, and fixing the navigation bar. Learnt about the meta property tag! :D

Right now I’m making my page about a current project I’m working on. It’s about making a robot. I’m planning to make two robots: one is the leader and the other is the follower. Whatever movement the leader does, the follower will also do. I’m still currently making the robot so as I make it I will also update the page about the robot on my website. I’m thinking about including a description of the robot, a few photos, a video of it in action, some code snippets, and a link to its GitHub repository. Learning how to make buttons in HTML for this webpage. If I can, I’ll also add a photo of my entire team who is building the robots.

Making the About Me section. Will have my skills, achievements, personality, and a brief introduction to my website. I experimented with various HTML and CSS tags, like & and . Trying to make a menu/ mind map of my personality and skills. I think we use frames for that… Once it’s done, I will move on to making my individual skill pages. Stay tuned for more devlogs! :D
