@jeswanth_battula on Boeing 314 Clipper Model
I have begun creating a detailed 3d model of the Boeing 314 Clipper. I have gathered plans for the front, side and top of the plane and have set them up in my modelling space, with the dimensions set and a basic block out completed. I have also thought about the process I will follow to create the fuselage, wings and engines.
The most challenging part so far has been making sure everything is proportioned correctly. The Boeing 314 has a large boat like hull, long and tapered wings and 4 radial engines. This means any mistakes in my block out will affect the entire model. The hardest parts to create will be the hull, engine nacelle and connection between the engines and wings. I will need to make sure my topology is clean to ensure the curves are correct.
I am happy with my references. By getting my geometry correct early on it will make adding detail and texturing much easier.
Testing:
As this is an early stage model there isn’t much to test. The image of the top view blueprint can be seen along with my devlog in the README file. Next I will complete the fuselage and begin creating the wings, tail, engine nacelles and propellers.
