I did indeed add 3 new features into the WebOS:

  1. I added the Settings app that lets you customize the appearance of your WebOS.

  2. I added the Notes app where you can write anything you want.

  3. I added a new taskbar, i love it.

Well, 2 months just gone, so here is what i made:

  1. Settings app - Lets you customize themes between dark and light and the transparency, for making Velora feel truly yours.

  2. Notes app - Lets you to write anything you want, and it saves automatically, how cool is that.

  3. A TASKBAR!!!! - I am gonna be very honest, this is my most waited feature, like its not perfect, but it’s a TASKBAR.

I created m own Web OS, and im proud to call it Velora.

Currently, it has 2 apps, the projects app, and an terminal.

The terminal itself is something I thought of adding a long time ago.

Ok, during this time i added Collections, a place where you collect all the quotes in a safe place.

Second feature i added are Achievements, crucial to a game like this.

Removed Copy, Save, Categories and Favorites page, as it was useless to me.

So i added a feature that could make my website feel like a game….

Its rarities!!!

So basically i will remove the idea of it being a generic quote site and turn it into a game where you collect quotes, im still working on the collection part, im so excited to finish this project!

Alr, i just finished reworking the CSS, made the website look like an old book (not really, just the color palletes), now I need to add a cool feature, the problem is that idk what can be a god feature in a quote app, im still thinking about this tho.

So this is my first game in HTML and for now its just me trying to add collision detection and hitboxes into the game, for now, i added Player Movement, a background and a cube that later will be a character, for now, just pretend that you all dont see the red blocks in the background…

For Stardance, I built Quotify, a modern and minimal quote discovery web app designed to inspire users through meaningful words from influential people.

The idea behind Quotify was to create a simple but polished experience where users can discover quotes, explore different categories, save their favorites, and quickly share quotes they enjoy.

The app includes:

Random quote generation
Quote categories
Favorite quotes with Local Storage
One-click quote copying
Custom toast notifications
Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile
A clean dark-themed interface
An About page explaining the project

The project was built from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then deployed using GitHub Pages.

The biggest challenge was turning a simple idea into a complete application with multiple connected features.

Some of the hardest parts were:

Learning how to structure a multi-page website
Making JavaScript interact correctly with different HTML pages
Building a favorites system using Local Storage
Creating dynamic category pages
Making the design responsive across different screen sizes
Debugging issues after deployment

One memorable challenge happened after deploying the project. Some features appeared to be broken, including notifications and styling changes. After investigating, I discovered that my browser was loading cached versions of old files. A hard refresh fixed the issue, but it taught me an important lesson about testing the actual deployed version of a project.

I am most proud of taking Quotify from a simple concept into a finished, usable application.

Throughout development, I improved my skills in:

Writing cleaner JavaScript
Manipulating the DOM
Managing user data with Local Storage
Creating modern CSS layouts
Building responsive interfaces
Debugging real-world problems
Deploying and maintaining a live project

I am especially proud of the final design because I focused on making it feel like a real product rather than just a school project. The dark minimalist interface, animations, custom favicon, and smooth interactions helped bring the idea together.

Visit the Favorites page to view your saved quotes.
Explore different quote categories (currently only one).

No account is required. Favorites are stored directly in the browser using Local Storage.

Building Quotify was a great learning experience. It helped me understand what it takes to create a complete web application, from the first idea to the final deployment.
