Devlog #1 — AI Portfolio Builder
What I’m building:
An AI-powered portfolio generator where anyone can fill in their name, skills, projects and social links and instantly get a fully designed, downloadable portfolio website. No coding required.
Why I built this:
Most people don’t know how to make a portfolio. I wanted to make it so anyone — a student, a freelancer, a developer — can get a professional portfolio in under 2 minutes just by filling a form.
What I did today:

Set up the project structure in Cursor
Designed the landing page UI with a clean dark theme
Built the multi-step form (name, bio, skills, projects, links)
Integrated Gemini AI API to generate portfolio HTML from user input
Added live preview so users can see their portfolio before downloading

Challenges:
Getting the AI to generate clean, structured HTML consistently took some prompt engineering. Had to be very specific in the system prompt.
What’s next:
Add theme selection (dark/light)
Add download as HTML button
Polish mobile responsiveness
