I made "Am I Cooked?", a life simulator where your choices decide your future. The idea actually came from my friends we were brainstorming project ideas for me to make for stardance when one of them looked at something happening and said, "Bro, they're so cooked." We all laughed, and that's how the idea clicked.

The hardest part was getting all the choices and endings to work properly. I'm proud of turning a random joke into a fun, playable game with multiple paths.

Try making different choices each time you play, and let me know if you find any bugs or have ideas to make it even better!

Devlog timeee!!! The game is officially getting way more chaotic. Added a full rage meter that goes up when the player gets answers wrong and starts changing the game as it rises. Low rage is just rude comments, higher rage causes shaking and glitch effects, and max rage triggers Meltdown Mode, which is exactly as subtle as it sounds. Also added random chaos events between questions. The quiz can now throw fake achievements, fake warnings, fake loading screens, error messages, screen tilts, and other nonsense at the player. It tracks how many chaos events happened too, because apparently the quiz needs receipts. Then added an achievement system. Players can now unlock badges like First Mistake, Professional Guesser, Rage Quitter, Touch Grass, Quiz Survivor, and Chaos Master. The achievement panel shows them during the game and lights them up when unlocked. Also cleaned up some broken JavaScript from a paste issue, fixed the HTML structure, and checked the script for errors. Current status: the game runs, the chaos works, the rage works, and the quiz is becoming properly unfair.

Fixed the first real bug in World’s Worst Quiz today. The game was completely refusing to run because script.js had a cursed duplicate let questions = [ inside the question array, which broke the whole file before the browser could even start.

Also cleaned up the Start button behavior a bit. Now when you restart the quiz, the score and timer reset properly, and the old timer gets cleared so it doesn’t secretly keep multiplying in the background.

hellooo remembered this project

Worked on Am I Cooked? today and added a bunch of new stuff.

The game now has more categories and way more scenarios, so it should feel less repetitive. Each category has 10 scenarios now, and I added new ones like Work, Party, and Gaming.

Chaos Mode actually works now too. Before it was mostly just a theme change, but now it randomly changes how much each choice affects your cooked score, so bad choices can get worse and sometimes weird stuff happens.

I also added better endings based on your final score, so the results feel more personalized instead of just one basic ending.

Current categories:

  • School
  • Sports
  • Social Life
  • Work
  • Party
  • Gaming

Still planning to add more polish later, like stats, achievements, animations, and maybe better sharing.
