reviewing them albums + QOL💿

➡️ Today we added FOUR new album reviews! WOW!!! On the menu: Lost Weekend - Phoebe Bridgers, Do That Again - Malcolm Todd, Pylon - beabadoobee, and You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love - Olivia Rodrigo.

QOL in the /music page?
I was afraid the text walls were hogging and bloating up the whole page, so I set them to overflow-y: scroll;. I would love if the scrollbars would only show on hover and not interfere with the text, but I haven’t figured that out yet.

🎇 where’d all the time go? got caught up writing a blog post about music videos
read the post at: keltime.nekoweb.org/blog

I recently consumed many music videos from Audrey Hobert and Malcolm Todd. They’re good. 10/10 would watch again. I mainly wrote and analysed Eve’s new music video and its lyrics. The song is called AIYOU, and if you like emotional/indie/jpop I would recommend you listen.

Song Rec(s): Malcom In The Middle - Malcom Todd and Motion Sickness - Phoebe Bridgers

Fixed minor bugs in the website- such as the guestbook link not working (accidentally wrote the link with a “www.” prefix) and the link to my site button (destroyed my button displayed on other sites that hotlinked)

v3 main home page completed!! what joy :’D
visit me at keltime.nekoweb.org now!!

🐦 After much deliberation and headache, I was able to push through and finish up the rest of the home page… the images can be hovered over to change their color filters.

⭐ An issue with the /about page has been fixed. Before, the main container would slide out of place on smaller screens, something I didn’t notice until a few days ago. Now after changing the css from “row wrap” to “row nowrap”, the issue is resolved.

Working on the main home page of v3…

Progress has been really slow, but I have implemented a navigation bar with a dropdown menu, a working day-date display (with javascript date) and added a marquee with marquee3k on github + an image of joke bear… how cute!

I’m actually so done tho idk what to do with the big gaping empty hole but at least everything looks aight…

incredibly indecisive happenings over a new v3 layout

I started work on this landing page but it does not match my vision at all. I’ll try something different tomorrow. The empty space on the right needs to be filled somehow.

Blog + diary nested CSS to create a different color scheme

I used the same layout for my blog and diary, but I wanted to keep both of them visually distinct while having the same layout. The solution was to change up the color scheme. One way to do this is by completely copy and pasting the diary’s css and making a blog.css to change all the colors by hand. Tedious…

I chose the less (maybe more) painful option of creating a class for the body of the blog called .blog and recoloring each element by calling on their class/identifier and giving them a green color.

I recently heard about nested CSS on an article. It is still pretty messy to use, but I would say that using this technique to change the colors of a layout is pretty harm-free.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading and have a music rec! Ilia’s Omen by acloudyskye

Music Page Fixes + Updates

🧰 Fixed a CSS issue where track titles in the album reviews on my music page overflowed onto the next album. Set the height of each container to height: fit-content; and added padding to the inside of each container for visual aesthetic.

🎉 Added 2 new albums: “SMILE! :D” and “834.184” to celebrate.

💿 fr the CD (it’s actually a dvd) in the background rotates! is it tuff or nah

Added checkpoints to the levels

If you find that the game is too challenging, you can turn on checkpoints in the settings menu. This lets you respawn at the nearest checkpoint after dying, instead of starting the whole level over again. I hope that this option can make my game playable by more people of different skill levels.
