ok so i just relogged into stardance and i forgot to devlog it so now i have 11hours and 34minutes unlogged. So basically i tested multiple methods to reduce the equation count and also trying to get rid of the potrace double line and I finally did it. The previous version using potrace outputed 1398 equations while the new one outputed only 649. Almost halfed the previous amount. And now it’s just a single line compared to the double lines that potrace outputed. I’m planning to put this on browser so it’s easily accessable. (first image: previous ver, second image: new reduced ver third image: potrace double line output fourth image: reduced ver) to see the code: skanny.py https://github.com/cziwu12/Raster-Image-to-Graph-Converter-2

Ship ✨ Blessed

A website with an interactable pixelated ball that has physics based mechanics and glitch effects. Click to spawn the ball. Drag it to throw it around. Double click to glitch the ball.

It’s my first JS project involving animating and drawing in JS. It’s also technically my first physics based project as it involves shading, ball gravity and velocity so yeah.

I’m looking forward to improve on the glitch effects and add more functionality to the ball along with its environment.

Ok so apparently I have to write a final devlog before shipping so here’s what my next steps for the reviewer. 1. Improve the Game Accuracy and Classification function. 2. Find critical moments/moves where it heavily affected the game’s outcome. As for the frontend: Add next and previous move buttons. Add an interactable chess board where the player can change a move to see the different outcome. Obviously there’s more but these are the step ill prob take next.

My attempt at building a chess.com style reviewer. It uses python for the backend and pyside6 for the frontend and Stockfish for the engine. The hardest part was learning the chess concepts and understanding chess computation. Also this is my first project with a frontend so I’m also looking forward to programme more apps with frontend. Just download and extract the zip file to run the application (Note that windows will pop up the “Windows protected your PC” window bcs I dont have a Code Signing Certificate, if that happens just click “Run Anyway”. Msg me on slack if you have feedback! (this is the only screenshot i have, so sry it looks all the same)

Almost done! My attempt to program a chess.com style reviewer. It has the basic stats like evaluation, Classification, WDL and move accuracy. It also contains game accuracy and a SVG board where you can see your moves. It’s currently in its rawest form and I’ll improve the accuracy of the reviewer and add more useful feature to it.

I would say I’m 85% done with the backend of the chess reviewer. I added move and game accuracy, WDL (Win/Draw/Loss) probability and some tactics detection like hanging pieces, loose pieces, and pieces en prise. I even managed to find publicly available equations that yield results similar to Chess.com. My next steps would be adding the basic classifications and tactics detection before adding gui.
