Devlog 1 | Today i started this mission . I created a small 3paged website with html css and a little bit of javascript. In my site i describe myself and it has a short story to keep the visitor enterntained. With javascript i made the buttons to work and the text to appear over time (made it with ai). Well i also published the site with github.
Devlog 3 | In this past week i got my package with the modules that i will need to make the mp3 player on a breadboard , but i had forgot to get the microSd module , so i couldn’t complete the prototype. I also updated my pcb by addind a boot button and a type-c usb port so i can upload the firmware. The firmware is not yet finished and i do not know how to code it so i want my breadboard project to be done so i can write it easialy.
Devlog 10 | Today i got feedback on my first ship so in today’s 2 hours i pathed them up , i also found i mistake i made in my case so i redesign it. In the feedback i was asked to add key switches to my Cad , i searched up that a plugin for it exists for kicad but i couldn’t use it and i though it would be easier for me to just add them manually to my Cad in Fusion360 as i had found the 3d model of the keyswitches already. I also updated my github page so the visitor can easily understand how to connect the pcb and case together (with knurled nuts M3). When i did all this changes the budget went up as i had to add new items and i had forgot to include the shipping costs in my previous ship.
Devlog 2| Hello once again since today i am in team bukus and i want my team to win so i will post as often as i can in order to do so . Anyway today i finished with the pcb of my mp3 player , it includes 3 push buttons on the left to stop/start and select the next or the previous song and also a potentiometer to regulate the volume . I placed the microSd socket and the 3.5mm jack hole near the corner of the pcb in order for them to be easialy accesable . I will connect the oled display with jumper wires in order to be able to fit it in my feature 3d printed case( hope i will get my 3d printer working by then). That’s all for now see you tommorow or later on today (most likely tommorow)
Devlog 1 | Hello stardancers , i didn’t upload anything for quite a while that’s because school started and i was too tired to do anything , but this weekend i had some time so i started with my mp3 player which was a project planned to be done a lot earlier but got delayed for no clear reason . Regardless i have ordered the parts that i will need for the breadboard project , but i will need funding to make the breadboard project to a pcb one , so i came to stardance to ask for that funding , while also making the pcb , case and firmware for my player. Anyway today i finished with the schematic it was pretty easy ,because i had already found the parts that i will use (from the breadboard project) and i had the wiring diagram on hand so i just need to connect some resistors and capasitors as i broke down some of the modules so the mp3 player will be more compact in the future. I am happy to be back in business here on stardance!!!!!
Devlog 9 | Today i finished with my Readme and with the BOM . Tommorow i will do a check up to be ready for the ship
Devlog 8| Today i wrote my README file and made the BOM for the keyboard which turned out to be quite expensive. I haven’t added any photos to the README yet so i won’t be sumbiting my project right now , but maybe tommorow i will do my first ship. I am better now , but i didn’t have motivation to work a lot today so i worked only on my github repo
Devlog 7 | Finished with the Firmware . I added the code for the Oled display , i made it so you can change pages with the FN key by running cycles across them , what i mean is
no click = page 1
1st click = page 2
2nd click = page 3
3rd click = page 1
4th click = page 2
The 1st page diplays a nice gif of marin kitagawa
The 2nd page diplays the Time and date
The 3rd page diplays the weather in your City
I also added some comments for the user from github to be able to edit the code easier
Devlog 6| Today i wrote the firmware for the matrix of the keyboard , i made each press to output the column and row of the button that is pressed that later on is matched in a dictionary of inputs for the OS to handle . I also added a FN button that later on will be used to change the display of my oled screen which i haven’t programmed yet. I also change the microcontroller from the normal pico to the pico W so i can connect diffrent apis for the oled screen to display. I am still sick so i didn’t manage to work a lot but i am still satisfied as i did my research to find out how to code my oled display later on
Devlog 5 | I am still sick but i managed to do more work than yesterday , so i am happy about it . Today i made the .step files for the case of the keyboard , basicly the case is just there to protect the corners of the board as the main case is designed in Kicad and made with silicoon. My next goal is making the firmware and after that to start with my BOM and github repo. I hope i will get well soon and be able to put more work in
Devlog 4| TOday i got sick so i couldn’t get much work in , but i managed to get all the warnings (except one ) and errors clean . I also added copper layer to the top and bottom of the pcb connected to gnd , so the pcb works smoother and feel more profesianal, i was thinking of modeling a “case” for the keyboard , but only for the corners of the keyboard as i intead of keeping the silkscreen visible and the keyboard durable. I will probably write the code in python as i am more confindent in it then in qmk which i haven’t understood yet and i think that i need the physical keyboard to set it up.
Devlog 3| I finished with the pcb and i decided to make the case out of edge cuts , as i wanted to import footprint images on my case so it would feel more out of the anime . Anyway tommorow i will start on the firmware i will probably use qmk , but if i wont i will just write the firmware in python
Devlog 2| Today i didn’t work much as it’s my grandma’s birthday , but thanks to @Matze i was able to fix my schematic error special thanks to him!!! The GOAT. Anyway the problem was that i was connecting each column to row 6 and it was causing an error. Later today i will start with my pcb and probably finish it by tomorrow or the day after
Devlog 1| Hello Guys !!! Welcome to my new project where i will be making a custom keyboard inspired by the character Marin Kitagawa from My-Dress-up-darling (my favourite anime btw). Anyway what i did today was quite the most of the work … I MADE THE PCB … almost , what i mean is that i made the pcb , but there is an error and i don’t know how to fix it. Let me explain it to you , so basicly i have putted diffrent labels to each of my matrix’s column and row i named them col1 col2 ,… and row1 , row2 … , BUT in the pcb editor the switches ALL OF THEM say col1 and in the schematic when i connected them with Label i get this errors:
Devlog 2| Forgot to make a lapse anyway, today i got approved on nest so i uploaded my slack bot the problem was that for some reason the commands that the mission’s guide provided did not work for me so i ask chatgpt and it told me that i can just use this commands instead
ssh USER@SERVER
node –version
npm –version
cd ~/PROJECT_FOLDER
npm install
pm2 start npm –name “BOT_NAME” – start
pm2 status
pm2 save
pm2 startup
<PM2_STARTUP_COMMAND>
pm2 save
I also made some changes to the code as i had forgotten to include every single of my commands to the help commands output
Devlog 1| Today i started and finished with version 1 of my bot, i made the ReadMe and the only thing left is for me to host the bot , now i am waiting to get approved in Nest in order to host it there. I have added 2 commands that are not in the guide like one that displays the weather in your city and one that sends you a picture of an anime waifu
Devlog 4| Today i added 1 minigame , sfx and music which i found on internet. In this minigame you need to avoid falling anvils
