Soldered all the parts i have. The only parts that i need to solder are my devboard which i am still waiting to be delivered and the buzzer because i forgot to make sure that the footprint was the right size for the buzzer i ordered so now i either need to find and adapter or find a buzzer that fits the footprint i have. once i find my wire cutter i am also going to trim the pins on the battery holder.

switched to using a screw terminal so that way i don’t have to worry about the terminal not being able to handle more current then a conn header or the jst-sm connector. now that i think i have the pcb ready to be made i just need to optomize the bom more if i can.

moved to a mic module instead of trying to figure out how to connect a smd mic. i needed to move around the layout of the board to make it work but it wasn’t to bad. i decided to go with a Adafruit I2S MEMS Microphone Breakout - ICS-43434 and i’m just going with a conn header instead of finding a footprint for it.

got the parts and foot prints for the board set up. i had spent a bit trying to find what parts i wanted to use. now all i need to do to make it truly my own is add silk screen art.

added a i2s mic for wled reactive audio. i also switched to the eps32-S3 sense the C5 is still in beta or alpha support and was recommended to not use it. i hope that i got the mic wired up correctly sense the example i was baising it off of had diffrent pin names. i also find it kind of fun how every mic that i looked at for this projhect was obsolete so i just need to hope that they dont go out of stock before i order. though there is 9000+ of the mic i’m going with so it shouldn’t really be an issue.

Worked on getting the schematic set up. this part isn’t really going to have to much of what could be concidered original sense i am following a wireing diagram from wled to get the connection from the esp32 to the led strip set up correctly.

worked on figuring out how to connect my radio IC to my pico. wasn’t very successful but found that i can do a embedded antenna so i can do a pcb trace instead of needing to use headphones for the antenna.
