made HALO Coffee Co, an iridescent coffee shop landing page. the hero’s got an actual 3D blue frappuccino u can drag around n spin β€” that part took forever ngl, had to fake real depth w/ layered css divs + perspective since i wasn’t tryna pull in three.js for this. menu section has a real matching pic above every drink instead of generic stock photos, and theres a popup cart that slides in from the side, shows ur total, n lets u pick a payment method (card/upi/paypal/cash) β€” purely visual tho, nothing actually charges u. proudest of the frap actually being draggable n not just sitting there like a static image. to test it: drag the cup in the hero around, add a few drinks to the cart, then check the cart drawer bottom right to see the total + payment picker.

I built Pulse Terminal, a dope custom dev command center to replace boring new tabs rn. Ngl, coding the pure vanilla JS for the CLI search router and getting that retro CRT scanline CSS to look clean without any heavy frameworks was lowkey challenging asf. I’m proudest of how the dark glassmorphism UI turned out and that the custom routing protocol actually works flawlessly, fr.

Lemme tell you how to test it: just pull up the live link and type in the terminal prompt. Use /gh [your query] to search GitHub, /so for StackOverflow, /yt for YouTube, or just type normally to default to a Google search. It instantly routes you to the right platform, which is awesomee.

Just grinding on the Pulse Terminal rn! Spent this 40-minute session locking in the pure vanilla HTML structure and styling that dark IDE glassmorphism vibe with CSS. Got the CRT scanline overlay looking clean asf. Next up is wiring the JS for the live clock and CLI search router so this thing actually functions like a dope command center, fr.

I built The Parallax Node, which is basically a dope digital terminal portfolio to flex my hardware and software projects like the KAR & EVE Lab. Ngl, avoiding heavy frameworks and coding it purely in vanilla HTML, CSS, and JS was crazy hard. The biggest pain was building that custom HTML5 Canvas particle engine entirely from scratch. Figuring out the exact math so the background nodes calculate distance and dynamically connect to my cursor without lagging the whole site was lowkey a massive headache, fr.

I’m proud asf of how the glassmorphism UI turned out, tbh. Layering those deep blur filters over the canvas creates this insane 3D depth effect that looks awesome. Lemme tell you how to test it: just pull up the live link on a desktop rn and move your mouse to watch the nodes track you!

i built KC16, a fully custom Slack bot powered by Node.js and @slack/bolt that literally runs 24/7 on a linux Hack Club Nest container. what was challenging? honestly the slack api config was an absolute fkng nightmare to navigate, and dealing with systemd service network timeouts almost took me out, but we survived it fr. i’m proud asf that it’s now completely bulletproof and lives on a server so it responds even when my laptop is shut. you can test it rn by dropping /kc16-ping in the chat to check latency, or hit it with /kc16-catfact, /kc16-joke, or /kc16-8ball to see it in action. zero slacking, just pure peak engineering.

the absolute worst part of dev is always the config but we survived it fr. spent way too much time in the slack api dashboard registering these slash commands one by one. but tbh looking at this list of all my bot’s commands mapped out with their descriptions is satisfying asf. got ping, help, catfact, joke, cybernetics, soccer, 8ball, dog, and roll fully registered so slack actually knows wtf to do when i type them. backend admin work is finally done, holy cramp. everything is completely locked in and ready for production.
