Added minimize buttons, the ability to resize, the weather app, and changed up the font and made the top bar look better. The trickiest part was that the top bar randomly became entirely transparent even though the entire code was right, but it just was that it was an old cache and github just for some reason took a lot of time to load it in.
I have made a Slack Bot, which tells whats its commands are, cat jokes, a random joke, and just says pong when u say ping. My biggest difficulty for this project was that Nest, the cloud service for this was down, so i asked in slack on what to do and they told me to do it in replit instead.
I built CleanOS, a webOS with draggable, stacking windows and three apps (Notes, To Do, Calculator), creating more than the base tutorial and deploying it live using GitHub Actions(that i learned from one of the other missions). the trickiest part was getting the window dragging/stacking right and making Notes support multiple editable notes. btw sorry i wasnt able to post the third devlog because hackatime was glitching out.
Orbit is a custom page that retrieves NASA’s APOD(Astronomy Picture of the Day) and displays it with a live clock, custom kinda space-themed(i tried my best) styling, and full CI/CD deployment to GitHub Pages. The trickiest parts were debugging a NASA API error on “today’s” date (fixed by making it always fetch fetching entry) and a typo’d workflow filename that silently broke deployment .
