Finished the code a long time ago; I forgot to devlog it. I DO NOT know what I did. I got a lot of help from people, Google, and courses, so do not ask me. As long as I didn’t use AI, it’s fine ig. That time lapse only worked twice a week, so I didn’t bother to record because I wanted to get it done already, since I had been procrastinating due to schoolwork. I did run into a bunch of problems and did use AI twice to fix it (NOT CODING PROBLEMS) i tried to uplaod it once but it turns out I had to install this one thing, etc etc.

I have been working on the HackPad for a while (way more than I’ve tracked because it kept crashing; now it doesn’t work at all). I did run into a few problems with the RGB LEDs. The DRC keeps on giving me unsolvable errors. I have consulted with multiple Hackclubbers who I based my project on, but it just doesn’t work for some reason. I might remove them, but since it’s such a cool feature, it seems like a waste. Plus, routing around them took ages, so I do not want to reroute the PCB for the billionth time.

Just finished working on the case, although I believe I ran into a problem that I’m supposed to fix, but I really don’t want to redo the PCB for the 6th time. The pin headers stick out of the case. I thought I could just ignore it, but it wouldn’t make sense. Im not sure what to do. I think my only option is to redo the pcb

Almost done with the case. I am not 100% sure if the dimensions are correct, infact I think I’m doing this all wrong, but I guess it’s all part of the learning process. Like I said in my last devlog, I’m trying to make the case TV-inspired. I’m not sure how the antennas will print, but let’s just trust the process. I might change the color palette later on too, but for now it’s set like this.

I just realized it has been a very long time since I last wrote a devlog. I have been working on my other projects and redesigned the CAD twice. My initial plan was to create a simple digital clock, but I realized it’d be way too boring, so I decided to go with an antique TV model as inspiration. I am having some trouble with the CAD dimensions and symmetry, so I’m holding off for now. If it ever becomes a problem, then honestly I don’t even care anymore.

I completely redesigned my schematic 2 days ago (forgot to devlog). I watched many tutorials and got inspiration from many people’s own projects, which surprisingly worked effectively. I think this is the 4th time I’m doing the schematic again. In my previous schematic, I ran into a few problems when routing, and I feel like I did not really understand what I was doing. These past few days I’ve just been fixing my problems, and surprisingly I’ve actually learnt a lot. Before, I was just following tutorials without really thinking much abt what I was doing. As of recent thouh one of the problems I have is regarding the PCB, which has a problem that basically has no solution. I’ll try to talk abt it in my next devlog.

Ship Pending review

After many hours of working on F.D.R., my own 3D-modeled drone, I am so happy to declare it shippable. It was quite challenging cause it was my first time actually working on anything 3D-modeled. It may come with some errors, but that is what I consider a learning process. I am so excited to get feedback on how to improve it, but for now I want to start working on new things. This project is purely practice for 3d modeling, so it only contains a 3d model. I cant wait to use the skills i have learnt from this project to improve and make many more things.

Finally finished it up and edited the GitHub. As a complete beginner at CAD, I’m kind of proud of myself, and I can totally do way better. I’d probably come back to this project and make much more drastic improvements, but for now it’s a milestone made. It’s been so long; I’m tired of working on it too, but it was such a cool experience.

Trying to route the PCB for my macropad. This is my first and half a time freestyling a PCB, and I am so confused. Im just doing anything, like literally. had to change up the schematic and fix the frame. It probably has a lot of defects, but what can I say. It’s a learning process.

Redesigned the PCB for the 1000th time (I’m not even joking; I redesigned it 6 times and it still looks bad) because I messed up the layout. Found the keycaps and the XIAO ESP32 C3 (I haven’t added it yet). And started with the case (not shown). I can now rest

Spent forever trying to find the .step model for the keycaps and failed miserably. Went on a break, so I paused the lapse came back, and I forgot to unpause it. How much worse can this day really get.

Just finished the PCB for my digital clock. I redesigned it completely. It took me forever to make the wires look neat. Now i need to export my files and start with the CAD.

Adding my final touches, I’ll need to work on the GitHub repo, and then it will be ready to submit! I need to finish the case details and add a removable flashlight on its head

My soon-to-be right-hand man is officially in progress.
Just finished the basics of my hackpad, which is basically working on the PCB and the case. Tomorrow I’ll customize it. I also need to create a GitHub repository and the firmware.

RIght now, F.D.R is going through its final stages of design. I’m currently having trouble figuring out where to put my beater disk and how to improve other aspects.
I need to create a GitHub repository, which I have been postponing for a very long time (I do not know how to properly write one).
I also want to know whether this is a software project or a hardware project. For now, I just put it as software, but I might be wrong

Onshape is genuinely starting to irritate me. I’ve been trying to fix whatever problem I don’t even know of for almost 2 hours. I’ve tried every single relation; I redid it twice. I’m literally going to just remove it as a whole.

Futuristic Drone: This project is based on a project that was made by someone else. My goal is to add features that make the drone better. I’ve started working on the main parts. Im not sure if im going to make it irl but that could change.

Im happy it all works now cause yesterday night it wasn’t working but I managed to find the problem. This projects goal is to not rely on AI to debug for me so I can earn how to do it myself. Im still going to be improving the project more and more adding even more features. since my last develop I had added a feature of selecting more than one allergy and my next one is to figure out how to make the code simpler and to try find more features to add. At the end of it I want to be able to add some “tkinter” I think thats what it’s called.

Im currently having problems with when the user inputs “No”. I’ve tried literally all the options I got in store as a beginner but I can seem to find a solution. Plus my hacktime seems to have stopped the timer or something. I dont know how to deblog properly either
