updated the website, your note title no longer is grabbed from the first thing you write down on the notes and rather should SOON be updated so that it’ll copy whatever is actually on your title area. along with this, I added what I promised with bolding, italics, underlining, and strikethrough. there’s also that dot pattern that is on most note platforms so that it’s easier to look at. I plan on adding font size, colors, and other features soon.
hello all! i’m working on a small notepad website called Notepad^2, a spiritual web-based successor to the classic Notepad application! i plan on adding a lot more features in the future, from simple features such as italics or bolding, and potentially an account or file-sharing system to transfer your text across multiple devices! it’s incredibly barebones at the moment, but I plan to add these features soon! i want this to be an application that can be a part of your day-to-day life, and not something you use for one thing and throw away. see you all next devlog!
passed the two hour mark and things have not really changed much, i’d say expect a fully working bare-bones app at the 3 or 4 hour mark, depending on what i plan to add and the code needed.
as said in my README, i plan to give this website a lot of features once i pass the bare-bones mark, such as a vibration check, gyroscope tracking, haptics checking, and potential color changes for when a DualSense controller is connected.
rather than me planning this to be a Hack Club project, i’d like to see this app try to take off a little further, maybe becoming a general controller testing/configuration program. but for now, i’ll focus on actually getting this done.
after submitting some projects onto macondo, i decided to give stardance a try since it seemed popular
im building a small website OR application (currently pending what I wanna do) that is just a general controller checker. checks your triggs, sticks, and flicks, whole bundle! kinda new to this but im kinda just going with the wind lol
currently a lot of back and forthing between deciding to name some of my code gamepad and controller since i want my code to look nice and having ‘controller’ spammed everywhere makes it look odd
i can expect a test to be working by around the 1-2 hour mark depending on how i do this
